Completed curriculum at Florida State University to be certified to coach high school football and baseball, included courses such as Human Movement Study, Science of Nutrition and Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries. Attended National Strength and Conditioning Association Sport-Specific Training Conference in January 2001 with numerous classes related to baseball and football training covering topics from developing quickness, power, core strength, using the resistaball, preventing and recovering from pain or injury in throwing shoulders and others. If you are interested in any of these topics, feel free to talk to me at the gym. Attended Sara's City Florida Mania Fitness Convention in June 2001 where I attended classes on nutrition and strength training, electromyography research on targeting muscles during resistance training, resistaball strength and cardio moves and martial arts specific conditioning. Completed US Army basic leadership course which includes instruction on developing and leading group fitness sessions. |

LEARN ABOUT ME |
Served as unit fitness instructor at three US Army units, designing group and individual programs. During 4-month period, my program resulted in a 15% improvement in fitness scores for new soldiers. At another unit, during an 8-week period, my program resulted in a 9% improvement in push ups, sit ups and 2 mile run for experienced soldiers. Both of these programs were successful in spite of the fact that neither program could address nutrition and both had to be conducted within the time constraints of normal army training schedule, meaning, neither could achieve optimal results. Currently employed as a Senior Personal Fitness Trainer at Gold's. See references below for more info.
