Korentil is a campaign setting for use with Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition. It is a world that has been torn apart and rebuilt numerous times by powers both malevolent or divine. A good grasp of the world can be gained by reading the timeline, a short document describing the major events of the modern world. There is history that precedes even the elves and dwarves, but that information is vague and innacurate at best. Certain artifacts detailed among these web-pages will allude to pre-historic events, but there is no exact detail given.
Korentil also has a unique cosmology, with five major outer planes (called The Lands of the Dead), each divided up into domains that best fit that domains leader. All these domain leaders are subject to the greater power, the Prime Deity of that plane of existance. The planes represent the diametrically opposed ideals, Law, Chaos, Good and Evil. The realms of Law and Chaos are generally content to keep to their own designs in their own planes, but the forces of Good and Evil are constantly warring with one another in an eternal War of Souls, fighting over the souls of the dead, damned and divine. Mortals from the Prime Material plane have great power over the Immortals of the planes, beings that never die.
I'll try to update this page as I complete new material for the campaign setting, if you have any questions feel free to email me, or leave your question (along with your email address) in the guest book. |
