Large 18thC Stone Cottage With Pool
The gite at Trie is a spacious, beautifully restored and equipped 18th Century stone farm building, set in a lovely garden, with swimming pool (10m x 5m), sleeping 6/8 people.
Trie is a tranquil hamlet of 3 dwellings, one of which is a working farm, 50km due South of Angouleme in the Charente area of France, and about 5km from the Dordogne border. The countryside around is rolling farmland with sunflowers, vines and pasture.

The accommodation is very spacious and is suitable for one or two families, sleeping up to 8 plus a baby. There are 3 large bedrooms, two with double beds (one is a gallery) and one with 4 single beds, 2 bathrooms, one with bath & shower, the other with shower, a 4m x 7m dining/sitting room with satellite television, and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc.

It has everything needed to accommodate a baby, high chair, new full sized cot, toys, books etc. and babysitting is available by arrangement.
Through the French doors from the kitchen is a large and completely private courtyard, herb garden and barbecue, exclusively for the use of tenants. A gate, which can be bolted, leads to an extensive well-planted garden, which has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and includes shady areas. The swimming pool is at the top of the garden in full sunshine.  The pool has an alarm fitted to aid security.

I work as a music teacher and live in the adjoining property and am always happy to help in any way; reserving tables at restaurants, booking horse-riding sessions etc.

I provide all bed linen and towels, including swimming towels.

Gas and electricity are included in the prices.

If you are interested in coming in the Winter please do ask for prices. There will be a small charge for heating.
