Troop 136 has a long history "Delivering the
Promise of Scouting" in Clayton County Georgia and is chartered by
the Jonesboro United Methodist Church, 142 South Main Street, Jonesboro,
Georgia 30236.
Troop 136 has over 45 years of Scouting service.
Chartered since 1960; Troop 136 is in Tara District of the Atlanta Area
Council in the Southeast Region of the Boy Scouts of America.
Troop 136 meetings are on Monday each week from
7:00pm to 8:30pm in the Troop 136 Scout Hut provided by the Jonesboro
United Methodist Church. Troop
Meetings are held year-round except on holidays and non-school days
during the school year.

Troop 136 is a “Boy Led” organization employing the
Boy Scouting Aims and Methods in planning program activities and Troop
operations.
Troop 136 has monthly activities promoting the
highest Scouting ideals of the Boy Scout Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan, and
the Outdoor Code. Activities
develop the whole Scout's maturity and growth by engaging in programs and
projects in nature, environment, family, community, government,
leadership, teamwork, self-reliance, integrity, and responsibility.
Troop 136 enjoys an active Scouting program
providing each Scout and his family a fun, fulfilling and successful Boy
Scouting experience from Scout through Eagle, and well into their Adult
Boy Scouting experience.
