With the start of Wizard's Champions previews, I must address the thing that is on everyone's mind.  Will a set that has around 60 legends be any good?  Well, I think yes.  With a set so full of flavor that it will make your tongue numb, It will make playing magic even more fun.  Plus, they have release a new legend rule to coincide with this new set.  Whenever a legend comes into play, it destroys all legends of the same name, including itself if another is in play.  This stops the madness that happened in Mercadian Masques block when rebels were practically the ONLY deck played and this card:

was a game breaker in the mirror match.  See, she is a legend, so the legend rule applied and the opponent was hard-pressed to win with his opponent able to get any rebel he wanted, even ones who had died and he was unable to get his into play.  If this rule was instated earlier, rebel mirror matches would be insane with each player killing off their own Lin Sivi to kill his opponent's

So what does this have to do with anything?  Well, with upwards of 60 legends coming in with Champions, a few of them HAVE to be playable.  So with the luck of "who can get their legend into play first" destroyed, people are free to play the max number of legends without the fear of having dead cards in hand.  With that in mind, check out this little number that was recently released to the public through

Crazy, hunh?  The only problem is the casting cost but that isn't so bad with tooth and nail in the format.  Another thing to note is that he is INDESTRUCTIBLE.  Yes, a colored creature has that almighty ability that has caused headaches to players all around.  Also they have given keywords to two abilities:  Not tapping to attack and pumping when blocking has occurred.  No word yet if those abilities will become permanent keywords in future expansions like 9th edition. (Serra Angel comes to mind.)

So with only a few cards released, there is no way of telling what this set has in store for us.  Only time will tell.
