Rise from the Dead! Part II Wednesday, September 8, 2004 - 4:31 PM Today, on Rise From the Dead, Part II, I will be discussing a deck that I have no part in creating but I just want to show you its history because when someone has a good idea, it can keep going regardless of numerous amouts of bannings. (On a related note, my Suicide TInker deck is now dead with the banning of Metalworker in extended. What I had overlooked was the infinite mana combo with Metalworker and Voltaic construct for infinite mana. With my decklist, replacing some cards for the combo engine would allow me to win in turn 2, witch is WAY to fast for a healthy enviroment.) Continue.... |

First Impressions of Champions of Kamigawa sunday, September 19, 2004 - 9:57 PM Well, I am fresh off the prerelease of CHK and I couldn't be happier with the set. First of all, the whole "massive amounts of legends" call to fame is not that noticeable when you are playing sealed deck. First of all, there are only 5 uncommon legends and the rest are rare so you don't come across multiples very often. Second of all, it is a MUCH slower format. Most of my games went: Land, go Land, go and so on until turn 3 when most people had enough mana to play spells. This makes Mirrodin look like Pro Tour Rome! continue..... |

Champions of Kamigawa Flipping friday, October 15, 2004 - 2:30 PM Champions of Kamigawa brought us a new way to look at creatures. The flip mechanic has been around since Invasion. (Fire/Ice anyone?) But the concept of a creature that is two in one is such a great idea.
