Updated Pics, both projects, and home sections. Ideally, should be able to finish up phase II of the Flash Project and have those posted as well. The pictures all need to be updated and i'll get to it when I can. Any medical/health-related websites can submit their URLs and i'll post 'e m to the left or add them to the archive as needed. So far so good with some pretty healthy traffic in and out, but geocities is not as reliable as I would like. Then again, its also free so I can't complain- at least not too much. |

I've retired the old site due to excessive traffic and limited bandwidth in favor of the far smaller (and cooler) site that you are at now. All links from that site have also been terminated. I tend to be extremely photophobic and won't be updating the pictures section very often (at least not with pics of myself), but I will be sure to show my new dorm this fall and the Baylor Campus. Good luck everyone and enjoy! Unlike the Lunar Pages, Medical Mechanica will focus as a site devoted to my studies as I work towards my MD and a career in cardiothoracic surgery. I will update the projects link with my latest papers and presentations in hopes that others may find my work useful for their own purposes, and if so inclined, correct any errors that may have escaped my attention. |

The Flash MX2004 Heart Transplantation Phase II is now completed and posted under the projects tab. Keep in mind that this is a full hour-long animation and the pictures are only screen shots from random sections. The next order of business is to build a series of pages describing heart disease, its causes and prevention/treatment. I understand that many medical sites either simplify this topic to the point of irrelevance or simply make it too complicated. I will attempt to bridge this gap somewhat in 4-5 permanent pages that will be available ABOVE on the home page over the next week. |

Most everyone has used a simple troubleshooting guide for their technology needs, among many others. In other words, you select choices step-by-step until you've narrowed the problem down to a specific issue that can be dealt with accurately. However, i've never really seen anything like that in the field of medicine. While this can't and won't be a replacement for real medical advice and treatment, knowing what is wrong is 90% of the work. This specific guide will deal with the heart and related structures. Feedback and information is welcome! |
