Often avoiding problems causes more pain than confronting them. 
Confronting them calls into play our intellect. our courage,
and our wisdom.  Avoiding them leads only to neurosis.

Accept the necessity for suffering and the value of suffering.

Delay gratification.

Accept responsibility.

Dedicate yourself to truth.

Love is about being able to decide on our values and the relative value that we place on others.

Like children we need reassurance, when we know that we are valued then we feel valuable.
