This time next year (June/July 2002), I plan to switch bikes to a Honda VFR400. If it hadn't been for the insurance quotes on the VFR (£1250 TPO), I'd have one right now. Anyway, below, is the VFR in a nutshell:

Engine: 399cc - Dry Weight: 170kg - Wheelbase:1345mm - Seat Height:780mm - Fuel Capacity:15 litres - Insurance Group: NU12 Top Speed:140mph - Standing 0.25 mile performance: 11.44s/119mph - Power: 62.5bhp@13000rpm - Torque: 28.9lb-ft@10500rpm - Approx. Mpg: 39 - Tank Range: 130miles

_One of Honda's most complex 400's but one of the best. Very comfy compared to the GSXR400 and has a good spread of power. However, most VFR400R's are imports. The RC 30 was a winner for Honda. It ruled the track in the 750 superbike class. Popular demand mandated Honda build a Japanese spec 400cc version of the RC; thus the NC 30 was born. Styling is very similar to the RC and we offer a two piece fairing assembly for the NC. It is split low on the crank case on the sides of the fairings between the upper and lower radiator vents. Dual headlight holes grace the nose and turn signal holes are cut into the fairing. A radiator shroud is molded into the lower fairing that comes back and prevents air from flowing around the radiator rather than through it. The tail section picture isn't for sale. You fortunate souls who own an NC who want to replace damaged parts, or lighten the bike up even further, will want to call up pronto. As a matter of fact, this setup is unique enough to be adapted to any custom bike design you might be working on.A 'proper' mini race rep and introduction to super bikes, but fast and agile enough to be considered more than a stepping stone. Provided the bike is well looked after, nothing much goes wrong. Access for servicing is hard as it not a simple in line 4. Few people tweak the bike as it works best in standard form.
