The long awaited X-Men movie is finally going to prmier on Friday, July 14. This movie has not been widely advertised, but I found the official website. Click here for trailers and more.

Yes! It is here! The Long awaited "X-MEN" movie will be in theaters by Friday, July 14. I am very excited about this. I have been watching for an advertisement for the X-Men movie since I was in Fifth grade, which was about 1994 or so, so it was a shock to me when I saw the ad at the movie theater. If you don't know the X-Men from the power rangers, you've come to the right place. I am going to give you some background info as well as all the info I can about the movie. I started watching the X-Men cartoon when I was in third or fourth grade. Okay, I bet some of you are saying, "I don't care about when this guy started watching the cartoon, I want to know about the movie!" I know, I'm getting to that. First I want to give you some background so the movie will make more sense to you if you have never seen X-Men before. Okay, I'll Make this as short as I can. The "X-Men" are mutants, humans with extraordinary powers, who were taken in by professor Charles Xavier to learn to control their powers.
Professor Xavier is a mutant himself with powers of the mind such as telekenesis and telepathic abilities. He has a vision of all of mankind, human and mutant alike, living in peaceful haromny. He uses

his powers for good and to try to accomplish this goal. He
also teaches his "X-Men to do the same. He teaches them his values of peace among all life and instructs them to protect humans (when I say humans I mean non-mutants) even though the humans hate them and want them dead. The professor knows that the humans hate them because they fear them, and they fear them because they do not understand their powers and why they have them. With this knowledge he hopes to make the humans understand them in hopes of obtainging his goal for peace between human and mutant kind.
However; there are those that make this task seem impossible, Those like, Magneto. Magneto is a mutant who
uses his powers to try to conquer and control mankind. Magneto use to be a friend and work partner of Xavier's. They would use their special abilities to heal sick and dieing people. Some event enraged
The wise Magneto and powerfull. I think that the actor choice for him was horrible, this guy doesn't fit the character's personality at all.
Magneto leaving him angry at all mankind. This is why Magneto decided to try and conquer mankind rather than help them or Xavier. Magneto and his followers use their powers for destruction and to reek havok on mankind. They make people even more scared of mutants, which makes professor Xavier's dream remain just a dream.
And now for some character bios.
Professor Xavier's X-Men consist of a team of about 6 mutants. Some of these are Storm, Rouge, Wolverine, Cyclopse, Jean, and Gambet. I do not know if more will be in the movie.

The X-Man, or X-Woman for you
feminists, called Storm has the power to control the natural elements such as lightning, storms, etc. Basically, the weather.
She can also fly.

probably be able to tell. So without further delay, let's get to Wolverine.
Hey Wolverine fans!
When I first started watching the X-Man cartoon I thought, as probably many other people did, that wolverine was born with the titantium (an alien metal that is stronger than any metal on the earth) bones and retractable blades that come out of the tops of his hands. But in fact, these aspects are not because of his mutant genetics. He obtained these traits by an experiment that a group he use to
belong to conducted on him. His mutant abilities are actually his superb healing abilities,his superhuman strength, and a very hightened sense of smell. Wolverine is a very good fighter and a great part of the X-Man team. However, he has a very short temper and bad attitude when hings don't go his way. He does not like people trying to
control him. He likes to go off and do his own thing a lot of the time. Wolverine has a very complicated past. He is not quick to trust people because of it. Many people he thought were his friends betrayed him. An enemie of his called Sabertooth is one of his most dangerous rivals.

Another member of the X-Men team is Rouge. Rouge has a sort of unusual power. Besides being able to fly, her power is to take someone elses' powers. If she is to touch another mutant

she would "obsorb" their power for a while. In other words she would be able perform the powers that the mutant contained. The downside of this is that it leaves the person she touched in a weakened state. If she was to touch a normal human it would drain their energy. She once touched her boyfriend and put him in a coma. She was shuned for her powers and seen as evil. The people of her town no longer accepted her. This is why she went to professor Xavier's school.

In the cartoon, her and Scott (Cyclopse) fall in love and get married. Wolverine had feelings for Rouge as well and was enraged at the Marriage of his two teammates. He didn't get along with Cyclopse in

Cyclopse (left, center) is basically second in comand of the X-Man team. This causes many hostile confrontations between him and Wolverine. His powers

are superhuman strength, and his eyes shoot out an optic energy beam. He has to have special, red lensed glasses to keep from shooting off his optic blast.

Cyclopse is a leader type. He can be condescending but he is only trying to do what is right.
Well, these are all the bios I have for the X-Men team so now for what I know about the movie.
