Pika pika! Yes, the poke craze is still here and it is as strong as ever..  If you thought the first movie would satisfy the pokemaniacs' thirst for the cute little creatures you were mistaken, it only gave them the scent and left them begging for more.  Yes...I did go to see it, and yes I enjoyed it.  I myself am somewhat of a pokemon fan.  A crazed collector wants to catch the mysterious pokemon Lugia.  By doing the things necesary to catch this pokemon he puts the world in danger.  It is left up to "the chosen one" which just happens to be Ash to save it.  Ash and Misty have a new companion on this adventure since Brock has stayed behind.  The collector awakens three legendary bird pokemon which go to war with each other.  Ash has to retrieve three orbs and take them back to one island to help put everything back to how it should be.  This movie was really very good.  Even better than the first one; there was even a little romance, the little ones probably won't pick this up.  If you or someone you know is a pokemon fan you should go to see this movie.

X-Men
X-Men! X-Men is a must see this summer!  The X-Men movie has been long awaited by many and finally it is blowing up the box offices all over!  The story surprisingly begins during a historic event that anyone who has at least passed the eighth should quickly recognize.  I am not going to say what this event is for those of you who have not yet seen this movie so that you may be as shocked as I was that they used such a significant historical event to develope the story of the X-Men movie.  The beginning of the movie is basically itroducing you to some of the more significant mutants, Magneto, Rouge and Wolverine.  The first mutant you see is magneto who goes through an ordeal which explains his hate and rage towards human kind.  The next mutant to be introduced is Rouge, one of the more significant characters of the movie.  This is where the movie gets closer to the story that all you long time X-Men fans know very well.  Rouge discovers her powers as she accidentally puts her boyfriend in a coma.  Scared and paniced she runs far from her home, scared that she might harm someone else.  She gets a ride from a trucker who takes her to some bar in some town where people bet on fights. Here she meets, and hesitantly desides to tag along with Wolverine.  With the senator trying to pass a law that will make all mutants have to register so everyone knows they are mutants, and creating panic across the nation about the dangers of mutants, they are not accepted by the rest of mankind.  Worlerine and Rouge are attacked by Sabertooth, a mutant follower of Magneto, and soon saved by Cyclopse and Storm who take them back to the mansion to meet professor Xavier and try to get them to join in their fight to protect the humans who hate them from the Mutants who would destroy them.  I will spring you off from there, YOU have to go see the movie to fill in the blanks.  Overall a great movie, I was a little dissapointed that it took them about 5 years to make an X-Men movie that could have been much better and strayed from the original story.  Throughout the movie I picked things out that were different or just plain wrong.  The differences in the stories, the original cartoon and comic book series v.s. the movie, is one of the things that bothered me the most.  Don't let differences in the story discourage you from seeing the movie, it is awsome.  It had great action, an interestion plot, and the special affects carry it even further!
Even though it was slow to develope the plot and there were many variances in the storyline, it was an awsome movie.  If nothing else the special affects kept this movie out of the nine spot.  But, even without, I would have still given this movie a ten because of its interesting plot, the action, and even a few spots of comedy.

Gone in 60 Seconds
10...20...30...40...50...60.  GONE! In the time that it took you to get onto the internet, to find this site, and the page to finish loading....someone could have already stolen your car! Some of you might not know what Gone in 60 Seconds is even about, neither did I until I went to see it.  But, by now I'm sure you do.  Nicloas Cage is an x-car thief named Memphis whose brother gets in some deep trouble with a car thief king pin.  A friend finds Memphis and tells him about his brother's delima.  Immediatly, Memphis goes to his brother's aid.  It seems this psychotic criminal wants 50 cars to be stolen for delivery to one of his clients within three days or his brother dies.  So Memphis takes the job to save his brother's life.  This movie has it all.  Action, drama, romance, high speed, and cool cars.  It is the ultimate guy movie.  I'm sure most of you females will like it as well.It speeds off from here to become a great movie.  Anyone who likes great cars or high speed action should really see this movie, it has both.  So, if you haven't seen it yet jump in your car, if it hasn't been stolen, and race to the nearest theater.  It is worth the money and you might even want to see it twice.
One word:  Sweeeeet!

SHAFT
Right On!  Shaft is back!  Samuel L. Jackson played Shaft in the recent movie Shaft Returns. The movie starts out at an assult crime scene.  Shaft enters the screen with his "can't touch me..I'm too cool" attitude.  A man had been srtuck with a pole and Shaft goes looking for answers with little help from the rest of the police force who just seem to be going through the motions.  Shaft finds the guy who did it and takes him in only for him to get let out on bail.  Shortly after his bail he leaves to Switzerland.  Two years later he is back, now the real action begins.  If you are a long time Shaft fan, or even if you've never seen anything about Shaft, i highly recomend seeing this movie.  Jackson pulls the role off greatly while supported by a great cast including Busta Rhymes and Richard Roundtree (the original Shaft.)  If you haven't seen this movie yet, get off your seat and go see it.  I promise you won't regret it.
Ratintg:
The movie was awsome with great action and an incredible cast, but I felt it could have given a little more.  It had the potential to be even greater than it was.  Offensive language and some content may make this movie not suitablt for all audiances.
Big Mamma's House
The other day I was going to see Scary Movie with my friend and brother, but they wouldn't let me buy the ticket for my little brother so we went to see Big mamma's House.  This was not a dissapointment.
