There are no preset number of posts in which to complete a serve. Just remember, however, that too many posts will lose a Master’s attention and too few posts will make you seem rushed and can be interpreted as being lazy.
When serving always try to be as descriptive and original as possible, remember that you are trying to paint an image for the reader. Consider every aspect, how you move, your hair, skin, facial expressions, the light (firelight or torchlight) and how it reacts on your skin, your clothing, sounds made etc. The more descriptive the better the image and more pleasing for those reading.

The following is a simple sample serve :-
1) Acknowledging the request of the Master/Mistress.
This is where a slave ALWAYS responds... "yes Master/Mistress. Its a good practice to also repeat what was requested to the Master/Mistress. If the beverage is served heated or chilled ALWAYS ask the preference. Never assume. Blackwine is served first or second slave, ALWAYS ask the preference if it is not stated.

2) Going to the kitchen/serving wagons.
Have a feel for your surroundings, so you can be creative with your movement.
Be descriptive of your movement and your body, drawing a mental picture for the Master/Mistress.

3) Choosing/getting a drinking vessel
Once you decide on the drinking vessel (goblet, bowl, cup, etc.), you need to get it from the shelves. Certain drinks are served in certain vessels. Learn which vessel is appropriate for each beverage.

Examples:
-reaching to a high shelf, silks rising up slender hips (remember the leathers that Tuchuk slaves wear also)
-bending low and reaching to a low shelf, her bottom exposed as silks slither to her waist
-knelt upon the counter, she leans forward to pluck a bowl from the shelf with deft fingers
This is another golden opportunity to express yourself, your personality, and show off your form - either as blatant or subtle as your silks allow. Try to incorporate the things you know about the one you are serving. Does he prefer a goblet, glass or bowl? A horn or a tankard? What is his favorite color? Can you incorporate His Caste or his Homestone? Perhaps he has a hobby you know of and you could locate a bowl etched with a scene depicting something about that .. or a scene depicting his homeland? Give him something a little personal.

Be sure it is the correct serving container for the drink you are serving and check it over to be sure it is clean. Clean it with a fresh rep cloth. Some use their hair or their silks. Think about it would you drink out of a vessel cleaned with silks worn all day by someone, or hair?

4) Filling the vessel.....Make sure you know where the beverage is stored and retrieve it accordingly. Note the warmth of the fire pit, the hot handles on the pots, the chill of the cold room, the selection of wines in the wine rack. Botas were not used in the cities. Drinks were stored in bottles.

5) Return to the Master. Again, describe your body, your movements, your feelings…….paint a picture of what he is seeing as he watches you approach and what you are feeling as you move back to him and lower to a kneel.
Returning to the Master is also a time to show off and to focus the attention on you and the Master you serve.
This alerts the Master that he is now coming to the centre of your attention.

6) Kneeling position/posture
A pleasure slave kneels in nadu before the Master, displaying herself. She is openly seductive, sensual and submissive to the Master she is serving.
A restricted slave, or a white silk slave, kneels in tower, modest. She is sensual, submissive, but yet DEMURE... to the Master she serves.

7) Kiss the side of the cup. Be descriptive. ie: your lips, type of kiss, how you feel, your eyes as you kiss the cup.

My master extended his cup to me, and I, kneeling, filled it with Sul paga. I pressed my lips to the cup, and handed it to him. My eyes smarted. I almost felt drunk from the fumes." ~Slave Girl of Gor, page 134~

“Now,” said he, “lift the goblet to your lips and kiss it lingeringly, then proffer it to me, arms extended, head down." Fighting Slave of Gor, page 19~

"...she, looking at him, timidly kissed the side of the cup and placed it before him." Tribesmen of Gor, page 89~

8) Lift the vessel to him, bowing your head between your outstretched arms.

I pressed the goblet into my lower abdomen and then lifted it to my lips, where, turning my head, I kissed it. Then, head down, kneeling back on my heels, arms extended, I proffered it to the Mistress. "Excellent, Jason," she said." Fighting Slave of Gor, page 129~
"Then again kneeling back on her heels, her knees wide, extending her arms to me, the cup in her hands, she proffered me the drink.
'Your head should be down, between your arms,' I said. She put her head down. Again I saw a small movement in her body, a tremor, subtle. She had put her head down before a man." Explorers of Gor, page 160~

9) Voice to him what you offer to him and that you hope he is pleased with you. Come up with your own little way of expressing your joy in serving Him/Her. Personalize it to how you feel.
“For your pleasure,” she said, “I bring you paga and a slave.” ~Explorers of Gor~
"She proffered the cup to me. She knelt back on her heels, her knees wide, and extended her arms to me, the cup in her hands.
“Did you not neglect to kiss it?” I asked her.
She drew back the cup and, pressing her lips to it, kissed it.
………..Then again, kneeling back on her heels, her knees wide, extending her arms to me, the cup in her hands, she proffered me the drink.
“Your head should be down, between your arms,” I said.
She put her head down…………………...
“Speak,” I said to her
“Your paga, Master,” she said.
But I did not take the paga. “Do you know other phrases?” I asked. There were many, actually, and they tended to vary from tavern to tavern, and from city to city. There was, really, no standardization in such matters.
She trembled, head down, proffering me the paga.
“Your girl brings you drink, Master,” she said.
“Any others?” I asked.
“Here is your drink, Master,” she said. “I beg to serve you further in any way I may.”
“Another,” I said.
“Do not forget I come with the price of the cup,” she said. “Use me as you will, Master.”
“Another,” I said sharply.
“For your pleasure,” she said, “I bring you paga and a slave.”
“Personalized phrase,” I said.
“E.,” she said.
“Evelyn,” I corrected her.
“Evelyn tenders drink humbly to Master,” she said. “Evelyn hopes Master will later find her suitable to give him pleasure.”
“Another,” I said.
“I am Evelyn,” she said. “I serve you, naked and collared. Take me later to the alcove. I beg to be taught my slavery.”
I then took the paga. “You may now serve others,” I said to her.
"You made her serve well, " said Shaba.
"Thank you," I said.”

10) Thank him for allowing you the privilege of serving. Then, continue to kneel at his feet until you are dismissed. You are in complete service to him until he tells you otherwise. Do not assume you may join in conversations in the room or whisper with friends. Your focus is to be on him totally until he dismisses you from service, you may ask if he requires anything else. Once dismissed offer to serve any other Free that may require serve. If none then return to the serving furs, or your Master, Mistress's furs which ever may be the case.
