Ever need to translate non-English web pages into English? Just select �Translate this page� from the Toolbar�s Translate menu to view French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Korean pages in English.

You can use the WordTranslator feature to translate English words on a web page into another language. Select �Enable WordTranslator� from the Translate menu, then simply hover your mouse cursor over an English word to view its translation. WordTranslator supports translation from English into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese, and Korean.

5- ACDsee Ver 2.1

CHOOSE VERSION 2.1 FROM THE DOWNLOAD LIST.

This version is still free, with only occasional, minor nags.

I've been using ACDsee Ver 2.1 ever since it came out back in '95, and every day! I couldn't perform my web work without it, and wouldn't try.

The newer versions are huge (up to 24 Megs,) and slow, and have limited trial periods. Don't bother. I tried a few, and none meet my need for speed and ease of use. You might go as high as Ver 2.4, but I like this one best. It's still FREE!

Designed as an image viewer, it does a great job of that, with plenty of functions, including lossless conversion to JPG with good file size reductions. Even when a JPG is converted again to JPG it gets smaller at least once, and sometimes twice.

What I especially like, however, is when in the file Detail view ACDsee works fantastically well as a file manager, too. You can move or copy single and groups of files from one folder to another more easily and faster than with the operating system. You can also invoke files in ACDsee, and they will run in their respective programs so you can check them out before slinging.

ieSpell is the perfect companion for anyone who fills out those little text input boxes that one often encounters on the Web. Order corrections, complaints, feedback, etc..

With ieSpell I can write my sloppy mess with confidence, knowing that it will be cleaned up, and I won't come across as the spelling-challenged type I really am.

Honestly folks, let's face it-- we all make mistakes. ieSpell has often saved me.

Advice on Taxes

I have prepared a list of quick year-end tax tips for you to help you plan ahead and reduce your tax bill for 2006 as much as possible.

1. Update Your Accounting: It is extremely important, as part of your year-end tax strategy, to have a good understanding of your company's financial situation. Spend extra time ensuring your books are up-to-date and accurate.

2. Defer Income: Any payments your company can receive during the first week of January as opposed to December cuts your tax bill. Of course, any deferral strategy will depend on your profit and losses for the year and your corporate legal structure.

3. Increase Expenses: Purchase items your business will require in the immediate future to maximize deductions for this year. If you can see a need for goods and services in the first quarter of the New Year, buy them now, if cash flow permits.

4. Inventory Write-Offs: Depending on your accounting methods, you may wish to check inventory for goods that have been damaged or have become obsolete. The drop in market value of the inventory can provide your company with added deductions.

5. Contribute to a Retirement Plan: A great way to put money away for the future is a deductible Individual Retirement Account (IRA). A conventional IRA will defer taxes as your investments grow, while a Roth IRA is actually tax-free. You have until April 15 to open an IRA and make a deductible contribution for the prior year. Moreover, if you have a 401K plan at work, put in as much as you are allowed to.

6. Live energy efficient: If you are going to make your home more energy efficient within the next two years, you can get up to $500 in tax credits. If you are going to build a home that uses 50 percent less in heating and cooling costs than other homes, you can get up to $2,000 in tax credits.

7. Postpone that bonus: If you know you have a bonus coming, look into having your boss postpone the big check until January. You cannot defer the bonus being taxed by simply not depositing the check until later.

8. Pay off those deductible expenses before year's end: If you pay off your property taxes early, that accelerates your federal deductions. You can make an extra mortgage payment (the interest is deductible), or go for that dental work or surgery before year's end.
