Marriage is a beautiful institution ordained by God. It was not man's idea. It was not created by man. Rather, the all knowing God, in kindness, made man and woman and joined them together as man and wife. One man for one woman for one marriage for life.

It seems, in our day, that all things that are of God are under attack from our secular society, and the institution of marriage has been under special attack. Some enter marriage lightly with no commitment to the partner nor to the vows they recite. They make little effort to fulfill their vows and will dissolve their union for the most frivolous reasons. Hollywood has done much to take this beautiful institution and corrupt it into a mere publicity stunt lacking any enduring commitment. Tinsel Town has, in the minds of many, redefined marriage as a temporary program used to advance careers, and has elevated divorce as an acceptable way to a union when it is no longer convenient. The bad example of celebrities has caused many in our society to lose respect and reverence for the God given institution of marriage, insomuch that many even live together unashamed without the benefit of marriage.

And, if that was not bad enough, we are now faced with the abomination of "gay" marriages. Liberal politicians, liberal courts, a liberal media, and liberal teachers seem determined in the liberal state of California to force the "gay agenda" on the moral majority of our population. We are being told that we must go beyond mere tolerance of the gay life style to the place of "acceptance and embracing".

Homosexuality is a perversion of God's plan for mankind. The Bible clearly labels it an abomination to God.

Homosexual marriage, if approved, will be a shame to our country and our culture. It will be a disgrace to a country that was founded on Christian principles, but now abandons those principles.

Yes, God's holy institution of marriage is under attack by ignorant and evil men, and by satanic forces. God instituted marriage is under attack because it is the foundation of Christian home and families. Yet, in the midst of confusion, perversion, promiscuity, and irresponsibility the beauty, joy, and peace of God ordained marriage continues to be the standard and strength of Bible believing Christians everywhere. The world's corrupt counterfeits of marriage will never smear or devalue the beauty of God's original marital design.
