Well, I must say that Pawn is a very interesting band. Though the vocals sound way too much like Nirvana's... I have heard Pawn play quite a few times and each time they were alright. The drummer kicked-ass and was the best part of the whole damn show. The vocalist was so-so...didn't like his style...seemed too fake for my tastes and everyone I've spoken to agrees. But the rest of the show was pretty good...I agree with one of the other messages posted..that drummer guy should get himself a new band...one that really rocks and has more personality and style. Pawn might be alright, but they won't go far...or excuse me, the one man band won't go very far. Have fun!

My response:
WOW, from the message you sent, you must think you are so on the inside track, but you couldn't be mistaken more. Unless you were talking about one of the drummers that made an actual contribution to the band (we didn't have to digitally piece together their tracks), you'll be pleased to find out that Ryan is no longer with us, and I wish him all the luck in the world with finding a good band that will put up with his p.m.s. & you didn't even mention what you thought of our bass player or new drummer. I guess thanks for the compliment if you are so quick to blow them off and give me all the credit for their achievements (one man band), but it's not all me. Since we aren't going to put the version of Vice with Ryan on Septic Shock's compilation now, you can pick up the new alian records compilation in a month or two and see how fake that (the improved line-up) is!
Thanks for the inspiration!
P.S. I'm thrilled to speak with such a musical genius, how many bands have you made hit it big?

We recieved your demo about two days ago; what I'd like to do is talk about a couple of things we can do for you. #1. If you guys would be up for it, we can pull some show trading. I can get you guaranteed gigs here in Indy - in return, you might be able to provide us with a gig or at least some phone numbers of the clubs you guys play for. #2. We regularly do compilation CDs. Here is the deal with these: *Before we do any projects with ANYONE, we have to run one of their songs on a compilation disc. This is to help us figure out how exactly to plan the logistics of any future projects.
However, we don't require the rights to your songs or for you to pay any money. The only thing we would ask for would be a song of reltively decent fidelity that you guys felt represented you best.
If you're interested, let me know.
P.S. You guys seem to have quite an interesting clash of influences. That's great.

Caught a show @ Harvey's a couple months ago. I must say, I was amazed at your utter lack of talent. Ah, well. I wish you the best of luck. You'll need it. I suggest to your drummer (Ron?) that he get the fuck out of this sinking ship you call a band A.S.A.P.. It seems your bassist had the good sense to do so.

My response:
I figured since you are the only person that I am supposed to please now, and I should tell our fans to fuck off because you have found it your place to deem us unworthy, I figured I should at least try to find out what band you are in, how many shows you play, how many cities you are going to frequently, how many radio stations have you on rotation, how many CD's and cassettes you've sold, and how many record labels are pounding on your door demanding that you sign a contract with them instead of DGC & RCA? Please let me know so I can sell my soul and fit in to this music scene like so many others. I need to please you! I need to be cool!

The Fuzz played a great show last night in Kalamazoo with PAWN....PAWN was great to play with. They are really nice, down-to-earth guys. We hopefully will be playing with them again. I want to thank my girlfriend Alyssa, Joe M.F. Davis, A-Money, Temp, and C. Paul for making the long drive to K-Zoo last night to support us. We were really glad you guys came. Until next time, Brandon THE FUZZ
