BUILD A DECK
    1. The first thing you need to remember is to keep things simple, don't get confused.  It's okay if your deck sucks, as long as you can play it competitively.

   2. The next thing is to choose a color.  Many beginners use green, but you should choose what you have the most of.  You can use more than one color, but you should start with just one if you need to read this page.  It all depends on what kind of player you are.  Most like green because it doesn't need as much strategy.  My favorite colors are black and white.  But I do have a good green deck.  One of my best decks has all five colors.

3. Next, choose forty or so nonland cards and about twenty land cards.  Make three piles: Lands, Creatures, and Others.  The "others" include sorcery, instant, enchantment and artifact(artifact creatures are artifacts and creatures).  Enchant creature cards are still enchantments, as well as enchant land. enchant artifact, enchant enchantment, and enchant world.

    4. Depending on your theme, you might want tons of creatures or not so many.  Just remember to fill in the holes.  Don't leave too many weaknesses.  You shouldn't just grab every card that looks cool, you need to follow a strategy. If the cards in the deck work together, then it will win more often.

    5. Now that you have picked the cards you want, you need to compensate for the flaws.  If all your creatures are beasts with high mana costs, then you will probably lose because you'll be dead before you can play them.  Make sure you have some kind of defense that will last before you enforce your strategy.  Or, if your strategy is speed, then make sure you have something that will keep you going if you can't outspeed him.

6. Always include some kind of insurance in your hand, if it's Fog or Fireball, maybe Counterspell or Healing Salve, make your opponent fear what your hiding in your hand.

7. A sixty card deck should usually have twenty to twenty-six lands.  Those are basic lands, however, you can have some nonbasic lands like Gaea's Cradle or Slippery Karst.

    8. Now you have a sixty card deck and you're ready to play.  As you play, tweak your deck as often as you can to make it perfect.  Your skills will improve and you will become a better deck-builder, but for now, these basic instructions will give you a deck that you can play.  If you notice a serious problem while playing a game, then fix it afterward.  The more you play the deck, the better it will become because you can always make it beter.  CONGRATULATIONS

I got this idea from (http://oocities.com/night_eye2001), even though I felt his       instructions were insufficient.  My instructions are for beginners, this is not how I build a deck, this is how I learned to build the incredible decks that I have.
