WATCH SHOP Watch makers at their benches. Chronometers, watches, clocks, baraometers and timong mechanisms by the thousands were repaired. Many balance staffs, stems, crystals and other parts were mfgd. from materials by this shop. |
OPTICAL SHOP Repairs being made to a gun sight telescope. Rangefinders, telescopes, lon Glasses, sextants, stadimeters and other optical instruments were completely overhauled in this shop. An Avg. of over 100 binoculars per month were repaired and collimated. |

FIRE CONTROL SHOP Checking control circuits on Mark 51 gun director. This shop aligned 40 MM quad guns to directors on new bases aboard ships while afloat and worked on guns up tp 16" and all types of fire control instruments to keep the fleet's guns in top shape |

ELECTRONICS REPAIR SHOP Radio transmitting and receiving equipment being repaired. The radio and radar shop overhauled all types of radio, sound and radar equipment and changed and repaired many radar pedestals and antenna arrays including large bedspring type for "SK" radar. |
BOAT ENGINE SHOP Repairs being made to diesel motor boat engine. This shop worked on diesel driven ships as large as 4100 H.P., 6 cyl 23"bore. In emergencies many parts such as rings, valve guides and valve inserts were manufactured from raw materials. |

BLACKSMITH SHOP Using 150 ton press to upset billet for gear blank. Its companion oil-fired furnace is seen to the left. Besides tool dressing and drop forging, steel break bans were forged and heavy bracket beams and frames for hull construction were fabricated. |
