Religious
Education
at UUCNH
|
We of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills
value our children and youth. We understand that religious
education begins with the family. We strive to support parents
and assist children and youth in their personal search for truth and
meaning.
We offer a rich and unique Religious Education program. Children and
youth have the opportunity to question and learn, to worship, to engage
in service projects to benefit our community, and to participate in
activities that promote friendship with peers and adults.
A coming of Age program is offered to high school youth every other
year. Youth select an adult mentor, complete service requirements to
the church and larger community, and participate in religion classes
with the minister, where they develop their personal credos. The
program culminates with a Sunday service led completely by the Coming
of Age Youth.
All adults, parents and non-parents alike, are encouraged to
participate inour R.E. program. Opportunities abound such as
organizing service projects, field trips and parties, classroom
teaching, sharing stories, skills and music.
We welcome and encourage you to participate fully in our Religious
Education program.
