My experience renting - Page 2

     The
Peppertree weeks that we own are ours every year, always the same weeks of Week 24, 25, & 34.  They usually fall the 3rd and 4th week of June and the last week of August.  I never have to contact the resort to set dates for a renter.  I contact the resort only when I am ready to change the name on the reservation.  The resort is very good at getting a confirmation in the renters' hands by mail.

Christmas Mountain is also in the Dells.  It is a flex week so I need the dates you wish and I will call in once I have a deposit.  I usually spacebank this week for trading so I haven't had renters yet, though the resort says that I can easily rent it out.  I just haven't had the opportunity yet.
     Our
Cypress Pointe week is a flex week.  If you are interested in renting Cypress in 2006, contact me soon.  The week is taken usually a year in advance, so don't delay if you are interested.  We can agree on a low deposit and I will book the dates for the week.  Cypress has a different management than when we first bought so there is more work for me to get your reservation and it is different from the easy way Peppertree allows.  First I need the dates you wish to go and your deposit.  I will call to see if the dates are available, but I won't confirm the week without your deposit in-hand.  (I've had too many people "think it over" and decide they can't afford a vacation.)  The new management will not mail confirmation letters (starting 2004), no matter how I beg that it always has been done.  What they will do is have my name as the owner and the renter's name on their computer as the "right to use" or guest.  That's as far as they'll go.  To give you something in-hand, now I write a note of permission that you are the user of that week and I sign it.  They say that that is perfectly acceptable.  They also said that you can call them and ask about the week to be sure that the Resort has your name on the reservation.  I can give you the number or you can call them on your own-- just so you are confident that I am not a "shady" character.  It's not as nice as having the confirmation in your hand, but the permission slip + telephone check to be sure you are on the reservation is still worth the trouble for a huge condo within a mile of Disney property.  It's worth the trouble and you only have to work through it once before you have one of the BEST vacations of your life.  (Please read the references page from Kathy Monaco who was the first to go through this new process.  Her family enjoyed the vacation so much, that they rented it again the next year also.)
   Our
Royal Vacation Suites week is also a flex week.  I simply have to call to make the dates.  It's especially perfect for those going to the Convention Center.  Still wonderful for tourists and only 1/2 block from the strip.
