PAGE FOR PAST RENTERS
I'm hoping that this page will become a page for past renters to assure others that the rental process went smoothly and tell how their vacation went. I know how hard it is to trust a stranger with a big sum of money. I am not a business, just a timeshare owner with too many weeks on her hands at the moment. When the kids have families of their own, and/or when we've retired, we'll be using more of our weeks. We are not interested in selling them, just renting them if we aren't using them. Besides our Wisconsin Dells 3 fixed weeks and our Cypress flex week, we own a number of points so that's how we are still vacationing ourselves. The fixed weeks and flex week are just easier to handle when renting. I thought I'd tell you in case you'd wonder why we've weeks for rent. Well, here is my reference page. Joyce PS. I was going to use the Geocities Guestbook, but it only gives 5 little lines to write on. PSS. Oldest are first and I just kept adding on references at the end.
My note: Entered here 7/4/01 (Happy 4th of July). Thanks Diane for the wonderful words. I know you'll have a great time and hope you write another bit after your vacation. Diane rented Cypress Pointe, Christmas 2001

Looking for a place to take family at Christmas time? What a nice experience we've had renting from Joyce! After a really poor experience trying to exchange my Gold Crown timeshare through RCI a couple of years ago, I decided to try to find something via TUG - our "Timeshare Users Group." Joyce had the "prime" location, "prime" time (for us), and at the right price (and without and exchange fee from RCI). It was really easy working with her - she's very personable, fun to talk to, etc., and kept me well informed as to the status of things - like getting my name on the reservation at Cypress Pointe, putting in my requests, etc. She's very knowledgeable about the area, with good advice about the particular units available. Am looking forward to an excellent vacation. I'll definitely rent from her again when the occasion arises. Diane Krebs (diane.krebs@valpo.edu)
Joyce, Sorry it has taken so long to respond to your request for a referral but here goes. I was a little skeptical about sending a check to a stranger for renting a timeshare, however my fears were unfounded. The transaction was handled very smoothly, in a professional manner. I believe that I also received a confirmation from Peppertree at Tamarack confirming my reservation. The facilities were first class, we encountered no problems in locating the facility, registering, finding our way around the area or finding the various attractions. One of the highlights of our stay was our side trip to the House on the Rock, never heard of it before going to the Dells but it was recommended as a place to see. It was well worth the trip and expense to see it. Dennis A. Fox
My note: Dennis rented one of my Peppertree at Tamarack weeks during the summer in the Dells. His email had changed so he responded to a letter I had mailed. Yes, I had told him about House on the Rock.
| email of Wed, 4 Sep 2002 Dear Joyce, My family and I just returned from a wonderful week at the Wisconsin Dells Peppertree at Tamarack Resort. I want to thank you for selling your week to us. The resort is great, we had plenty of room even though there were five of us plus my six month old grandson. The grounds are well maintained and we found everything in excellent condition with a friendly staff. My wife was particularly impressed with the laundry exchange process for linens and towels. My boys played tennis, swam in the indoor and outdoor pools and rode the bikes provided. We cooked mostly on the grill provided just out the back door although the kitchen is well equipped just like home. The location seems remote but drive less than a mile on a back road with no traffic and you arrive at a Super Wal-Mart. We bought groceries and supplies there. There is much to do at the Dells. We took the Upper Dells boat trip, and rode the Original Ducks through the Lower Dells, attended the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Show and the Magic Show. The kids spent a day at the Noah's Ark Water Park and we all went to the Wonder Spot. I highly recommend the Tamarack for a Dells vacation and thanks again for selling your week to us. | Charlie rented our week 34 at Peppertree. Week 34 is the last week of August and they had a great time. (He rented the week though, did not buy my week.) It was a pleasure to email him and follow through with getting his confirmation. Another good vacation! |
email of Thurs., 3/6/03 My wife and family recently rented an extra week from Joyce and her husband at a timeshare in Orlando. The transaction could not have gone more smoothly thanks to Joyce. The timeshare was great, as was the pool and accommodations. I know that purchasing an extra week from someone is often on good faith-- after all, you don't really know the other person who's there's no guarantee you won't show up and find there is no room at the inn. However, dealing with Joyce was great and if she has extra weeks, by all means go ahead and deal with her. She's wonderfully enthusiastic about travel and you'll have a great experience. To answer your other two questions, no I'm not a relative nor was I paid for the preceeding announcement. :) Scott Grigg, Milford, MI
We had booked 2 units at a resort in Kississimmee for ourselves and friends. Due to work commitments, our friends could not make it. Scott rented the extra unit from us. Thanks again, Scott.
