Vatican
Lokey is an award-winning actor and playwright now based in Orlando,
Florida. For the last 15 years, he has been creating an
impressive body of work in New Orleans in the realms of theatre, radio
& television, and in the convention entertainment industry.
Before arriving in the New Orleans area, Vatican was a respected figure
in the regional theatre circuit, touring throughout the Southern states
and the Eastern seaboard. In 1994, his original family musical Treehouse Players' RAPUNZEL was
commissioned by
President Clinton to be the flagship production of the Americorps
theatrical tour, with Vatican serving as a lead actor and
playwright. For the last 15 years, he has also been a member of
Porta-Puppet Players, New Orleans' premiere touring puppet theatre
troupe. |
Vatican has recently relocated to
the Orlando area, and is currently pursuing new performance
opportunities in the Central Florida area. His final performances
in New Orleans were in the world premiere of the original family
musical Pinocchio, and in the
original cabaret
June With
Judy: The Songs of Judy Garland. Most recently,
Vatican completed successful runs as Juan Peron in Evita for the Jefferson Performing
Arts Society, and as Judas in Jesus
Christ Superstar at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre.
