I'm almost done taking paint off the front of the body. As you can see, I stained the body in most areas on the front, except for that little area above the pickguard, where heavy picking keeps the paint off. It's very primitive and ugly right now. I'm just trying to get a feel for the staining and outlining. You can see I've added a new black pickguard (no new pickups yet, but soon!) and aged white pickup covers and knobs. I still have a ton to do, and more sanding to even out the surface. Check out the next page for a true evolution of the finish! |
