August 20-24 ----Welcome! ---- History, Historiography, Approaches to History Please prepare yourselves for an objective (true/false) scantron quiz on this subject by next week. You are solely responsible for the terms and concepts on this handout. Take aggressive notes from my lectures and those student who want to go the extra mile you can read the introduction from the Portable Greek Historians available in any public library. I attended a meeting on Tuesday to learn about becoming an advisor to a student club. Here is the info: Students must take the initiative to Charter a Club. You can do so by picking up a Charter application at the Student Center. Then you must write a Constitution and By-Laws for the club;Officers must be selected. If you do this, then the club will receive: funding and an office in the Student Center. Does anyone want to be President, Vice-president, Treasurer, and Secretary for the Club? Please email as soon as possible...oh by the way, we need at least 10 students. September 8: All quizzes were return this past week. You are invited to discuss your results with me in my office. We will continue our discussion of the Precolumbians. Review the websites and chapter one in Vigil. September 14: Please review SWC Blackboard for current updates..
