Jesus Christ is the most glorious being that exists and He created us to make much of Him by magnifying His perfect character and attributes.  My desire is to help the sheep follow closely to the Shepherd.  He leads us to green pastures and still waters.  He satisfies the soul and provides rest for the weary.  He breaks the shackles of sin.

If you decide to visit Valley East Baptist Church, I pray that you sense real-ness.  That is to say, we don't play games.  There is too much at stake, with each individual soul and with the nations who need the Gospel.

At VEBC, we exist to worship God by passionately believing and communicating to all peoples that God is the greatest Treasure there is and in Him there is fullness of joy.

Here are some of the principles that we are striving to achieve as a church.

Serious Worship.  Church should be a time to truly pause and reflect.  When we gather together around the Word of God, it is time to set aside our jokes and our lightheartedness and truly meditate upon the person and work of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Simple Worship.  God calls us to worship Him but often we complicate what this means.  At VEBC, we want to keep it simple:  singing, prayer, and preaching.  In keeping it simple, we can be still and know that God is God.  We are not out to entertain, but rather to corporately approach the throne of Almighty God.

Christ Centered.  Sure, we share our lives with each other, pray for each other, and carry one another's burdens, but Jesus Christ is the true reason we gather together as a church.  We cling to Him, we meditate on His cross and empty tomb, we look to the living Savior for life, and we share Him with others.

Bible Saturated.  We attempt to make the Bible the theological center of every aspect of church life.  At VEBC, we take preaching God's Word seriously.  We believe the Bible to be our authority for faith and practice.  We take the Bible at its word, proclaiming the truth about sin and salvation for the glory of God and the good of His people.

Everyday Evangelism.  Because we keep it simple, we have very few programs.  However, we take very seriously our calling to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We encourage those who truly believe and trust Christ to share regularly with family and friends so that others will come to faith in Christ.
