Claudette Hatcher is an emerging professional in the operatic world.  Beginning classical music and stage training at the age of 9 and language training at 15, a career as an opera singer was natural.  She has performed concerts and recitals in the Seattle area, Los Angeles, Houston as well as Japan. 

Ms. Hatcher is a two time award winner of the Chaspen Foundation Young Artist Development Award, Supported by the City of Redmond Arts Commission and winner of the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAF/E), Michael Mitchell Memorial Scholarship.  Most recently, Claudette Hatcher completed the Houston Ebony Opera Guild's 2003 Apprentice Program with renowned conductor, Maestro Willie Anthony Waters.  Ms. Hatcher sang the role of
Giovanna in HEOG's production of Verdi's Rigoletto, opposite baritone Lester Lynch (Rigoletto), tenor David Brewer (the Duke of Mantua) and soprano Kenneithia Mitchell (Gilda).

Ms. Hatcher is a consummate performer, providing operatic recitals to Seattle-area schools (click
