Identifying Needs
While listening to people, as you learned
earlier,
is an important first step in helping them; but it
must not stop there. You need to strive also to
identify, both with them, and with their needs.
To IDENTIFY:
means to understand and share
someone's feelings
What do you think identifying with someone's
feelings means in practical ways?

Jesus is an example to
us in these things
Seeing then that we have
a great high priest,
that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest
which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities;

yet without sin.
