| David Bessler Position: Head Coach Experience: 1987 -1997 & 1999- Present |

| David Bessler begins his 13th season as the head Coach of the Van Nuys Wolves and over the past 8 years has established the Wolves as a power house team in the Valley Mission League. During that period, the Wolves have posted an overall record of 170 wins and 39 losses. In Conference/League the record is 76 wins and 16 losses. His teams have won the 4A City championship once ( in 2001), the 3A City Championship three times (in '92, '93, and '95), the JV 3A/4A City Championship once ( in '94) and the League/ Conference Championship seven times.. In 2001, the Wolves won the 4A City Championship. They also won the Valley Mission League title with a 12-0 record. Van Nuys High was honored with 3 First Team and one Second Team All-City players- Hana Hadawar,Tara Teslaa, Hala Hadawar and Lesley Quintanilla respectively. Hala Hadawar was named the Most Valuable Player of the City. In all, Dave Bessler has coached five players that have received Division I scholarships, 1 Youth National Team Player and 1 Fab 50 player in the nation. Dave Bessler has also taught AP Calculus BC at Van Nuys High School. |
