Calookahlay: Solar of Elistraee

This braggart angel came to Jamais' mother, Deja, claiming to be a god. Wooing her with false tales of his prowess in battle, he sired Jamais then left Deja in the lurch.
Raised on his diety-stricken mother's stories of his father's greatness, Jamais felt pressured to live up to the name of this "powerful warrior god". Instead of launching a career as a bard, he tried valiantly to follow in Calookahlay's footsteps by becoming a cleric to serve Him.
Alas, song and dance seemed to be in his very blood... Inspired by moonlight and encouraged by the safety of darkness, Jamais chooses only these times to indulge himself as a performer. It is then that Jamais prays to his father, his god, to overlook his short comings as a warrior and to give him the strength to honor his heritage.
It is this quest that brought Jamais to Calimport. It has taken him over a entire year across land and water, transported from his home in Thesk by various merchants who owed his mother a favor for goods/services rendered. In all his travels he had heard of no organization quite like the Graem's Griffons.
From his first step onto the docks he caught wind of rumours and tales of their adventures, so he decided to see for himself what these Griffons were about. Having tagged along on an adventure that took him to the very moon and gained him the sweetest spoils he had yet to acquire from mere adventuring, he found himself interested in joining this mercenary unit of "The Little Yeomanry".
...and this is what brought him to the door of General Riggs.
While some visiting this site may recognize the graphic above to be a portion of a character sheet, others may not. What no one recognizes, however, is the god that I've created for my character to worship: Calookahlay. This is both his story and the story of my character, Jamais. If those in the know wonder why I created Calookahlay instead of merely worshipping Eilistraee straight out - It was to get the war domain as well as the moon domain. Not that I -use- the war domain, mind you, but one does what one must to use that filthy Bastard Sword +1.
