"THE DARK CLOUD"

So young for her age, not like the others
Thin, no shape at all
Always the 'ugly duckling'
What did she have to offer
This girl was already lost

Schooling had ended before time
No graduations

No celebrations
Her small status bundled into the big world
What now?

A mother forced to let go
Time to stand on her own feet
Time to fit in somehow
Who would like her
Who could she trust?

Aquaintances confused as friends
Too soon trouble loomed
As danger approached she simply followed
The company had little concern

To them she meant nothing

The scene was suspicious
There were no warnings
Cornered and frightened
Nowhere to run

No one to save her

A dark and dirty room
Filled with a circle of faces
Surrounded by fear she pleaded
Begging for mercy
Begging for freedom

Mocked and taunted
Stripped of her clothes
Stripped of her soul
No way out
The girl then left her own body

As she watched herself she cried
Oh God why me
Please let it be over
A voice shouted in anger
It was the girl but she was quickly silenced

Hours passed before the dark cloud lifted
A stranger's hand was there to help
She had found an escape
Wearing next to nothing
Running for her life, running home

Justice never came
Her word against theirs
Threats to stay silent
She kept quiet
For the rest of her life

    "Becoming One"

Was the night before last
you smiled brightly at my boyish jokes
poking fun at your flamboyant nature
nestling close we smiled into each others breath
as the television murmured its incessant chants
but we were unaware and too busy in each other
to care about the small things of everyday
never thought this could happen to me
never thought you would shine your light on my life
and yet there we were in the tickling shadows
fingers dancing in our clasped hands
eyes locked together like never before forever
the future laid out before us as if predetermined
a wonderful destiny for two lovers to embrace
as if the two of us were becoming just one
looking forward to the good times and bad
overcoming any obstacles and growing like a tree
establishing roots and growing taller with promise
our hearts becoming bigger than the moon
filled with the love of sharing ourselves with each other

                  Dear Me;

You’re okay.
No "pity party" today.
You felt yourself falling apart and you knew where
you had to start.
Cottage Hospital helped put you together before...
So you knew a patient you must be once more..

Suicide for the umptenth time you did try...
You failed again, and do you know why?
It is not your time T.E.B. I said sadly to me...
God chose the time you should come...
He and He alone determines when your work on earth
is done...

So to Cottage Hospital you must go....
Let that helpful help as your mind tosses you to
and fro...
Dr.Guyer and staff will guide you on the path
that is best for you to go.

You need to practice relaxation, self esteem and
assertivness, TEB I said to Me.
Realize it is okay to be "ME", I said to myself
TEB.

Family nor Friends determine your self worth..
Only God "Your Highest Power" can judge your and
determine your self worth!

You love people so much I said to Me TEB.
You care so much and to them yourself you
want to share. Share only if they want to share
back I said to Me TEB.

I’m Okay I said to Me TEB..don’t want to die TEB
I said to Me. God has so much more of life He
wants you to enjoy and see, I said to Me TEB...

     "Her Rainbow"

She did not want to cry
This she prayed was a mistake
Though she knew the final outcome
Another brother she would forsake

Her space of safety crushed once more
Too often afraid to breathe
Her heart still healing f
rom recent scars
In her mind oh how she could scream

She walked once more down the path of gloom
No words could console her now
All I could offer was a shoulder to lean on

I could not wipe the frown from her brow

This is goodbye dear brother
I will try to keep going as planned
Life as we knew it has long disappeared
Just never let go of my hand

As we stood silent alone in the cemetery
Her farewell seemed to have its own echo
Rain on our skin and rain in her heart
Then out of nowhere appeared a rainbow

My prayers had been answered if just for that moment
My friend grabbed my hand and clenched tight
We stared up to the skies and she made a smile
‘Guess that rainbow is where he sleeps tonight’

   "The Untitled World Is Alone"

The untitled world is alone.

Its is afraid

it is always found somewhere

in a lonely heart.

It is yet to be explained

it is never to be described.

It can always be seen in

an empty place.

An untitled world;

an empty heart;

destiny unknown.
