Steps to Implement Differntiated Instruction in Your Classroom: A Step by Step Guide with Practical Applications |
This program was presented at a Superintendent's Conference to my fellow staff members. I consider this the infant stages of differniated instruction for use in anyone's classroom. I am in no way an expert, I am just relaying information and techniques that I have learned and providing examples of what I have done. I have found a few important tidbits of information related to differentiated instruction: 1. Plainng takes time (lots of it) to make the lesson work; 2. The entire implementation of a differentiated program for one subject takes 5-6 years; 3. Creativity is key; and, 4. Variety is indeed the "spice of life" Please feel free to leave feedback. |
What do we differentiate? 1. Content-what we teach 2. Process-how we teach 3. Product-end result of learning Let's Get Started 1. Where to begin?: Identifying Diverse Learning Needs 2.
