|
|
Tonga (map) was the second country/territory I visited on my Pacific Islands trip. My visit was from the 26th of February 2000 to the 26th of May 2000. Apart from staying two days in Toni's Guesthouse in Nuku'alofa, I always stayed with Tongan or expatriate Fijian families (all working for the Assemblies of God Church) at home in both towns and villages. I was not really interested in any tourist activities, but I always tried to adapt to the local lifestyles as much as possible. During my visit to Tonga I visited the islands of Tongatapu, 'Eua, Ha'afefa, Lifuka/Foa and Vava'u. (read more...)
