Protocol:

All enlisted men(below Warrant Officer) are to call all officers (Warrant Officer and above) sir. All officers will call their superior officers sir. Enlisted men are not to call each other sir. This will go on until an officer gives the "At ease" command. This command is void, however, when a higher officer enters the room. Also, when two officers are in the room at the time, only the higher officer may give the "At Ease" command.

When entering the a channel, you are to *salute* (or *S* for short) if other clan members are present. Your fellow members will then return the salute. It is important to remember that the member who enters salutes first.

Rules Concerning Games:

Blizzard has programmed its games to allow players an equal chance for victory in multiplayer games. Anything other than a player's own skill that gives him an advantage over his opponent is therefore cheating, and is dishonorable. The Warriors of Ęsir outlaw all software that may alter the course of a game by giving one player an advantage. Such software includes but is not limited to: Maphack, Disconnection Utilities/ No-loss programs, and Lag hacks. Members who are found to be using such programs shall be issued a stern warning and possibly lowered in rank at the first offense. The second offense will result in an automatic demotion to the cadet. If a player is already a cadet when the second offense takes place, they will be removed from the clan.

Fight your opponents with honor. Do not beg with them to ally with you; if you are losing, you most likely deserve the loss. Conditions that may take place where the losing party does not deserve the loss are:
(
1)Games when one's partner or teammate(s) has left, excepting if they left because they were about to lose.
(
2)When one's teammate(s) has disconnected while they still had a reasonable chance for victory.
(
3)When one's teammate(s) are clearly of skill far below that of the other persons currently in the game.
Even when one or more of these conditions is met, do NOT plead with your enemies to ally. If they refuse your requests, do not persist. Accept defeat with dignity.
You may ally with the losing team to spare them if you so choose, but we discourage it if one of the above conditions is not met.

Name Spoofers often cause people to disconnect. Do not use these programs in clan games. It is suggested that you ban or leave public games where people are spoofing.

Comp stomping is lame, but it hasn't been outlawed just yet. Comp stomping is defined by having more players than computers in a game.

Rules Concerning Recruitment:

Players recruited during games will be given the rank of Seaman upon joining the clan.
Even Friends invited by clan members will be given the rank of Seaman upon joining the clan.
People recruited by spamming public channels will begin with the rank of Cadet (unless said otherwise). Recruits entering at the rank of Third Class Petty Officer will be demoted if the Council decides that they are unworthy of the rank.

Rules Concerning Conduct:

Type intelligently. No one wants to sit around trying to figure out what "but yru noghear alrdedy cumon un eed2g ofast er" means. Don't spaz in the clan channel, if you're mad, deal with it in a civilized manner. DO NOT SPAM! Spamming in the clan channel will result in being booted from the channel, or possibly banned for a limited ammount of time in extreme cases. Do not interrupt meetings, this counts as spam if you don't have the floor. Do not act immature while we are trying to recruit or negotiate with another clan. Spam and spaz penalties are increased during meetings, recuitment, and negotiations.

Members are required to treat other members with respect at all times. Failure to comply with this rule can result in any of the following: squelching, kicking, banning, or even demotion. The consequence in each specific case is left to the discretion of the highest ranking officer present.

Asking, begging, hinting, whining, complaining or flooding for promotions, ops or bot access is strictly forbidden, and will result in one warning, after which the member in question will be demoted one rank. Repeated offenses will result in banishment from the channel for one day, and further losses of rank.

Personal attacks of any kind are NOT allowed in the main channels. If you wish to bitch at someone please do it in whisper, and they have the right to ignore you. You will receive one warning, after which you will be banned from the channel for a day.

Flooding, whining, complaining and generally being a pain will not be tolerated any longer. A warning will be given, and then the offending member will be booted, squelched, or banned from the channel for a short period of time.

If you have questions or complaints, they must go up through the chain of command. In other words, ask your platoon leader first before asking a Council member as platoon leader will probably know the answer and there is no need to disturb the Council. If the platoon is unable to assist you or answer your question, the division leader will be called upon. If the division leader is also unable to solve the problem or answer the question, then the division leader will ask the Council for assistance. Do not skip any link in the chain unless a complaint involves a division leader or platoon leader. In this case, complaints will be presented to the Council directly.

All members are to have their Rank and Platoon/Division in their profiles. This information should be given by the recruiter to the recruits.

Rules Concerning Bots:

Members are only allowed to have bots in a clan channel if they are quiet. Idles and greets should be turned off at all times, with the exception of emergencies. Even in extreme situations, an officer's bot should be the one doing the task. Bots must also be set to whisper back responses where possible (.whispercmds on StealthBot).   Masters of noisy bots will be given one warning, after which their bot will be banned from the channel.

All bots must have the battle.net account name of their owner in their profile. Exceptions can be made if the owner is blatently obvious. (ie Physbot, Warrior-Bot, TestOfDoom might be Ok)
Bots in violation of this rule will be banned if the owner cannot be found. If the owner is determined, that person will be given one warning. Failure to heed the warning will result in banishment of the bot.

Bot commands should be whispered to the bot. Should a member become annoying while giving his bot commands, the highest ranking officer in the channel may issue any punishment he sees fit, short of banning or demoting the bot's owner. (This means that the bot can be banned, and the owner can be kicked or squelched.

Access to someone else's bot is a privledge. Only council members may demand access to a bot, and members who abuse their bot access will have it removed.Welcome To Clan WA, Warriors of Aesir.
