**What do you like about living in Connecticut? Where are your favorite places to visit in our state? What is special about Connecticut?
Task:
**Our class has been hired by a local travel agency to create a travel brochure about Connecticut. Its purpose is to attract people from around the country to visit our great state. Read the process and evaluation sections BEFORE beginning so that you know what is expected of you and how you will be graded.
Process:
**There will be two groups of researchers: a county group and a fact group. You will be assigned to one of these groups.
Depending on your group assignment, you will receive a fact or a county to research on your own. Later, you will collaborate with a partner to create pages for our travel brochure.
**Once you are given your group assignment, find the appropriate process to follow.
**COUNTY GROUPS PROCESS
*You will be given two grades for this project. A group grade for the brochure pages you created together and an individual grade for your researching and brochure pages you created on your own. Review the following rubrics so that you know what is expected. The individual grade is out of 52 points. Grades will be evaluated in the following way:
You have successfully completed our class Connecticut brochure! I hope we will attract more tourists to some of the great places in our state. I hope you have enjoyed learning more about the state you live in and will share it with your friends and family. Have you seen a place you would now like to visit for the first time? Were you surprised about all of the exciting things we have here that you never knew about? I hope that you will continue to learn and explore our great state!!
