Reports from the trail indicate that all is going well. Walkers are in the middle of Ohio, days ahead of schedule. Many stories of donations of food and money. Also stories of good times, tiredness and injuries, and newspaper reporters running behind them.
Please note changes to the last three weeks of the day-to-day itinerary. All walkers are happy and healthier than ever and have recently welcomed the addition of Mike to the crew. Lisa says hi to her mom since she hasn't been able to call recently. Thanks to the Zondag family for all their support in the Colombus area last week.
The Walk for Burma successfully reached Washington D.C. on August 11th! As we took our last steps to the Capitol, we were welcomed by the Burmese community in the area and members of the Free Burma Coalition. It was a great day, despite the heat.
