Venice
From April 2 - 7, we went to Venice. Both of us fell in love with the city! It's absolutely gorgeous, with its winding alleyways and canals traversed by the traditionally-attired gondoliers. Every palazzo (palace or mansion), every piazza (villa square) is steeped in the romance of the past and the wild decorative style of today. The stores are filled with beautiful specimens of the famous Murano glass, exquisite Burano lace, high fashion, or the wildly varied masks used primarily for February's event, Carnevale.

After 6 days in the city, we were barely able to leave. It is a highly recommended visit for everyone.
