"Oh my god, Jake! How can one person collect so much junk?" I giggled.
He laughed and patted my shoulder. "C'mon..we'll get it sorted out. Then you can come over and help me with my equally disorganized mess."
"It's a deal." I told him.

I was trying to sleep on the fight home but it just wasn't coming. I sighed and turned in my seat, trying to find a comfortable position on the pillow the flight attendant had brought. I couldn't stop thinking about Jessie. I was so amazed that she had said yes as quickly as she did. Family and children was the only subject that could make her uncomfortable, and I couldn't blame her. I could wring both her parents' necks, if they were here to wrung. But she did say yes. She was going to marry me. I smiled to myself. She said yes that quickly because she loved me. She was a no-bullshit kind of girl. You never have to wonder too long what's on her mind. That's one of the things I loved most about her, I always knew where I stood with her, and she was more concerned with keeping out of the public eye, where I was concerned, than I was. That was a miracle in itself. Most of the girls I met would show thier true colors right away as soon as the cameras
flashed. I hated feeling like someone's arm decoration. Jessie never made me feel that way, I felt like a living, breathing human being when I was with her. I liked the fact that she knew who I was and what my life was like and just chose to deal, rather than demand things from me that I couldn't give. But I'd give her the world on a chain if she asked. Sometimes I think she stepped too far back where my career was concerned, worrying about how our fans would react to our engagement. I had to shake my head. I would yell it from the tallest building in the world, I was so happy that she would be my wife. I smiled to myself again and closed my eyes, thinking about the last couple of days with her. I had wanted to get my navel pierced for a while, but never could get myself to do it. She was so cute trying to make me comfortable while I had it done. She was right, it wasn't too painful. I do it again too after the effect that one had on her. Holy shit!
And just seeing her belly ring was enough to make me want to tear her clothes off immediately, she was torturing me without even knowing it. She always wore those little shirts that sliiped up just enough for me to get a glimpse of that ring, or those damned tank tops that I'm sure she wore because they were comfortable and the weather was warm. She was so beautiful, she could have worn a fucking burlap sack and I'd have to readjust my pants when I looked at her. I sighed again and turned over. If I didn't stop this train of thought right now, I'd have a serious problem when it came time to get off the plane. I missed her already.
TAYLOR:

Amazingly enough, I finally slept. I woke to the voice on the speaker announcing that we were ready to land. I adjusted my chair, yawned and stretched, setting the pillow on the vacant seat next to me. The captain landed the plane and I waited as the majority of the passengers filed off, before I decided to wade through the mass of people in the airport. I slowly made my way down the ramp and slung my overnight bag more securely over my shoulder. Thank goodness I didn't have to deal with trying to get luggage off the belt. I just took what I needed in the bag on my shoulder. I walked to the exit looking for an unoccupied cab, when I spotted my brother waiting for me next to my truck.
"Hey, Tay..I thought that you might not be in the mood to catch a cab or fight traffic all by yourself." It was Ike.
"Thanks, man. You can drive though, I'm beat." I told him.
He laughed. "Good thing Jess and Jake are moving closer, Tay. You can't keep staying awake all weekend and try to work all week. You guys amaze me." he said with a knowing grin.
"Sheez Ike!" I said, smiling. "Lacey's HERE all the time, you will be an old married man soon. Gimme a break, man."
He laughed again, "It's not like she's not in shape for that kind of strenuos activity... no wonder her apetite is so big. She has to eat lie that to keep up with you, poor girl." He pushed my shoulder as I threw my bag in the back of the truck. "Hope she's getting her own place when they move or Jake won't sleep either.."
I blushed and socked my dumbass brother in the arm. "C'mon man. I just got home..." I said
"Serious though, Tay. Congratulations. I think that you two were made for each other. Plus she's starting to rub off on Lace.." he said smiling wickedly.
I raised my eyebrow and grinned. "Oh yeah? She's not the only one.." I lifted my shirt to reveal my new navel stud. Ike grabbed the end of my shirt and looked closer, then looked back at me, incrdeulous. I laughed.
"Holy shit, Tay! How bad did it hurt?" he asked.
"It didn't, not bad anyway. Jess went with me..."
Ike shook his head. "I really like that girl Tay. You got good taste. Mom and Dad really like her too. Jake should fit right in if he can stand the noise.."
"Yeah.." I said and jumped in the truck. Ike and I talked about our upcoming schedules for a while and all the frenzy about the wedding. Ike seemed nervous. "Dude, are you gonna be able to handle all this in just a couple of months?" I asked.
"Yeah, Lace has most of it under control. Poor Jess is probably going to have to find a way to hook the phone to her ear so she doesn't have to use her hands to answer it. Between you and Lacey, but she has been amazing, keeping Lacey calm." he said and I smiled. Lacey had a tendency to get overwhelmed and panic, and Jess was good about settling her down.
"Have you and Jess talked abut a date?" he asked me.
"No. She wants to wait until after your wedding. said something about not wanting to take away from YOU and LACEY's day.." I told him. "She could decide we were getting married on the moon tomorrow and I'd find a way to do it.."
Ike laughed and gripped my shoulder. "I know exactly how you feel,
bro." I grinned back at my brother as we pulled into the driveway of our house. I stepped out of my truck and reached in to the back to grab my bag when I was tackled by a small body. I picked her up. "Jessie, nice to see you too.." I laughed. I set her back on her feet and hugged her.
"Tay! I am so happy for you..and she gets to be MY sister in law..she so cool Tay." she gushed. I laughed again. "I'm glad you approve."
"I do and Lacey and the girls and Mack all love her too.."
"Hey take a breath kid! Jess will be here next week, Okay?" I told her and slung my bag over my shoulder.
