"Hello?"
"Hi babe." I heard Tay's chuckle come through the wire. "What are you guys up to?" he asked.
"Just finishing packing up my stuff..." I told him and giggled as Jake continued to taunt me from the other side of the room.
"What's so funny?" Taylor asked laughing himself.
"Jacob has decided to take on full annoying big brother mode that's all. He's almost as bad as Zac, believe it or not. Hang on Tay..." I looked at Jake who was trying to seriously get my attention.
"What?" I asked Jake.
"I'm leaving, Jess. We're all done anyway...try not to set the phone lines on fire or melt them or anything.." he ducked as I swung at him.
"I'll pick you up in the morning, Jess. Try and get some sleep. I'll be here early." he bent down and kissed me on the cheek.
"Bye, Jake."
He waved and shut the door behind him.
"Sorry baby, Jake just left." I said
"That's okay, Jess. I'm glad to hear your voice." he said. "I miss you already."
"I miss you too, Tay."
"I'm sorry I didn't call you earlier, Jess. I came in here to put my stuff away and Zac started with me, so I kicked him out, shut the door and fell asleep. I woke up thinking you'd be right next to me, what a rude awakening." he said.
"Oh, Tay. I'm sorry...I wish I could be there.."
We talked for a while and then I yawned.
"Oh baby, I'm sorry. I guess all that packing and trying to kick jake's ass in the middle of this mess has me more tired than I thought." I told him.
"JESS! You were trying to kick Jake's ass?! You are insane..he's only three times your size.." he laughed.
"So what? Zac's bigger than me, and I coulda taken him with my bad leg. The bigger they are the harder they fall, baby." I giggled. "Besides, I told him not to do that to my hair anymore.."
"Damn stubborn woman. He's your brother.." Tay laughed again "Would have liked to see that..."
"You will..he did it again just before you called. You saved his life.." I laughed.
"Yeah, ok Jess..whatever you say... hope you never decide I need an ass whipping... or wait..maybe I DO.." he chuckled.
I giggled. "I'd wrestle ya, but I wouldn't hurt you, Tay. Not too bad anyway.."
"Oooh... is that a threat or a promise?" he growled.
"Both, baby. Be prepared.." I said seductively. I laughed again when I heard him groan. "DAAAAMMN, Jessie."
"It's only a couple of days, Tay..." I said.
"Seems more like years to me.." he said softly.
"I know.."
"Get some sleep, Jess. I'll call you tomorrow." he said.
"Okay baby. Oh and I'll be at Jake's the rest of the week.."
"Okay, Jess. I'll talk to you soon...I love you, Jessie."
"I love you, Taylor. I miss you."
"I miss you. Nite, Jessie."
"Nite,Tay."
I hung up the phone and got myself ready for bed. I pulled the covers back and slipped in between the sheets. I rested my head on my pillow and pulled his to my chest. I fell asleep thinking about how my sheets and pillows still smelled like him and how I wished he was here beside me.
"I love you too, Taylor. Can't wait till tomorrow.." I said and swung at Jake as he made a kissy face at me.
"Me either, baby." he said.
I smacked Jake on the leg hard as I flipped my phone shut. "You really are turning out to be an annoying brother after all.." I said mock-angrily. He laughed and ruffled my hair.
"Zac's right, Jess. You're too much fun to mess with.." he ruffled my hair again.
"Shit!" I grouched and smoothed my hair down.
Jake just laughed and kept driving. We finally made it to the airport and got our bags checked. Jake was a really being great. He took care of tickets and everything else. He also gave me the window seat and called the flight attendant to get me a pillow before I could ask.
"Rest, Jess. You're gonna need it." he said and held my hand as I fell asleep.

The airport in Detroit was a frenzy of activity and once again Jake took charge. We got our luggage and hailed a cab. he checked us into the hotel and helped me get settled in my room before going to his.
"I'll be back in a little bit, Jess. Then we'll get some dinner, okay?"
"kay, Jakey." I told him and stood on my tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
"What was that for?" he asked smiling.
"I guess because you're not so annoying after all. Thanks, Jake. I'd be a mess here without you." I told him.
"No you wouldn't, but I'm glad I'm here." he said and kissed my cheek.
"See you in a bit..'
"Kay."
I went into my bathroom and found the things I would need to shower and get dressed for dinner. I had that done by the time Jake was at my door.
"Hungry?" he asked.
"Starving." I answered.
We ate dinner at a nice restaurant near the hotel, and were relaxing and having a good conversation. I looked up from my plate to see Watts across the room.
"Jake there's Watts. We should ask her to join us. She looks like she's by herself." I said and Jake nodded.
She turned toward us and saw me, so I waved her over.
"Hey, Jess. Jake." she said as Jake stood.
"Are you all by yourself Watts?" I asked.
"Yeah...my trainer's wife decided to give birth today of all days." she grinned. "he'll be here tomorrow once her mother comes to stay with her."
"Sit down, then. Join us.." I said handing her a menu.
"Thanks guys, it's a bummer to have to eat alone in a place like this."
"Yeah.." I said and reached for my water glass.
"HOLY SHIT JESS!" she exclaimed and grabbed my hand, almost knocking the water out of it and spilling it.
"What?" I looked at her puzzled.
"THIS! IS THIS WHAT I THINK IT IS?" she said excitedly.
