Taylor pulled into his driveway, lost in thought. He knew Jamie would be asleep right now, and he desperately wanted to sit and watch her, or lie next to her and hold her. He hoped what he saw in her eyes, when she unexpectedly let her guard down, would grow strong enough to break through whatever was making her fight her feelings for him, guessing that most of it had to do with her brother. "Nothing like battling a fuckin' ghost.." he muttered to himself, as he began to clean up the inside of his car. He pulled some of the junk food wrappers that had escaped the bag he'd put them in, and stuffed them back in. He swore silently, as the left over chocolate icing from a dougnut smeared across his finger tips. He licked his fingers, out of habit, then groaned, remebering the feel of Jaime's hot, wet and extremely sexy mouth on his fingertips, then his body and his neck. "Damn.." he muttered, the bulge in his pants becoming immediately uncomfortable. he finished picking up the car, adjusted himself to a more comfortable postion, then went in search of his brothers, hoping they were home and ready to write. He desperately needed a distraction, or thoughts Jaime would consume his brain. He was humming something familiar when he steeped into the house and stuffed the bag of garbage into the bigger can in the kitchen. "What the hell is that?" he asked himself as he washed his hands and dried them. He kept on humming but couldn't place it. He shrugged and resumed his search for his brothers. "Soooo....Jadeleigh...." Patti wiggled her eyebrows at Jade, as they hurriedly took their places behind thier computers. "UGH!" Jade rolled her eyes, but couldn't suppress her grin. "What?" Jade knew what was coming and didn't want to go there, but at the same time she knew that Patti was flying on cloud nine, due to the fact that Zac had managed to get past Jamie's striking looks and notice her. Not that Patti wasn't beautiful, herself. Jamie's personality just demanded more attention, and Patti was happy to let her be the 'leader of the pack' in most cases. "What are you gonna do about those two?" Patti asked. "What two?" Jade tried to feign innocence. "OH DON'T EVEN.." Patti giggled. "You have it soooo bad for Ike. It's so freakin' obvious you may as well put up a billboard." "I am in so much trouble here.." Jade grinned. "But he and Josh are family, so let's not go there, kay? And Isaac hanson will probably wind up being one of the best friends I've ever had." she finished. "Yeah...'friends'...don't let HIM hear you say that. He's gone on you." Patti joked. "You're insane. Zac was looking mighty umm....what's the word I'm looking for?" Jade teased back to change the subject. "I believe there are TWO words you're looking for...FUCKING HOT..oh my god.." Patti sighed and then a huge grin spread across her face. "Yeah..only that was five..learn to count, dork." Jade giggled. Patti only stuck her tongue out and giggled again, and the two got back to work. |
Jamie woke with a start, at the sound of the phone ringing by her head. She smiled lazily, knowing that it was Taylor. She'd put the phone there so she wouldn't miss his call. She quickly picked up the receiver and, just as quickly, dropped it. She had to fumble for it, but managed to get the thing to her ear. She was met with the sound of Taylor's low chuckle. "Jame? Are you okay? Wake up sleepyhead." Jamie grinned widely, then sighed. "Mmmm...hi.." she breathed into the phone, her sexy voice sending electric pulses straight to his groin. "Hey..." he managed to get out, without letting his voice crack. "Are you awake now? How did you sleep?" he asked. "Yes, I am awake Tay. And I did sleep well, thank you. How did your day go? Any more inquisitions?" she asked, chuckling. "Nah..we did get alot of writing done though." he answered. "That's good." she yawned and sretched lazily and Taylor could picture her, her hair sleep-tousled, and her cheeks rosy, her long, lean body uncoiling gracefully. He groaned inwardly, trying to get the swelling in his pants to subside. "Is it still cool for me to come by, Jame? Or do you need some more sleep?" he asked. "Yeah, I want to see you. You said you had something for me to read, right?" she sat straight up and ran her hand through her hair. "Yeah, but I don't want you to be walkin' around all zombie-like either, Jame." he chuckled, trying to conceal his sigh of relief. He was rewarded with Jamie's low, sexy laugh. "8:30? 9:00?" he asked. "You don't have to wait that long Tay. I'm not real high-maintenance, in case you haven't noticed." she laughed again. "I don't wanna intrude on breakfast with your dad.." he reminded her gently. "Oh shit. I almost forgot. Okay. 8:30 then, thank you Taylor. I better go check on him..." she let her sentence trail off, realizing she really didn't want to stop talking with him. "Go ahead, Jame. I'll see you in a little while. Have a good time with your dad." he told her. "Thank you again. See you in a bit. Bye, Tay." "See you soon, Jame. Bye." he grinned widely as he hung up the phone, then turned to see Ike and Zac staring at him from the doorway. Both wore huge grins and had their arms folded over their chests. "Suck up." Zac muttered and brushed past Taylor in search of food. "Bite me." Taylor replied with an equally wide grin, and shoved his brother playfully out from in front of the fridge. "Listen up GIRLIEMAN!! Don't even try it. You know I can kick your ass." He grabbed Tay and put him in a headlock. "Zac, you shithead.." Taylor grunted and tried to twist out of his grip. The scuffle quickly became a full-fledged brawl, Ike jumping in to help Taylor since Zac was so big, right there in the middle of the kitchen. "YOU BOYS KNOCK IT OFF IN HERE!" Diana said, loud enough to be heard over the ruckus, but not a full-out yell either. The action stopped immediately, all three brothers grinning sheepishly at their mother, as they adjusted their clothes. "How many times do I have to tell you, 'NOT IN THE KITCHEN'?" she admonished. "Sorry mom..." "Sorry..." "Kay mom.." came the habitual apologies. "It's alright. Zac had you and Tay anyway," she smiled at Ike as Zac flexed his chest again. "Are you boys going out, tonight?" she asked. "Tay is.." Zac gave Taylor a sideways glance as he answered for his brother. "Jamie again?" Diana smiled. "Better bring her around soon, Tay. Or your dad will have a stroke." Taylor blushed slightly. "Kay.." he said softly. "But since you're going out.." she stuck her head in the fridge and pulled out a couple of continers. "Take these to Josh and make sure he's alive and at least breathing, please?" she asked as she put the containers into a plastic bag. "Sure mom." Taylor answered a bit reluctantly. |
