"Kay. Let yourself in, in case I don't hear you.." Jamie told her, knowing it was no use to tell her to stay put. "Okay. And by the way.." Jade grinned as wickedly as Jamie ever could, and Jamie felt it. "What?" she chuckled, waiting. "I told Josh he better stop calling you names and hung up on him, AFTER I told him Taylor wouldn't be real thrilled to hear him call you Lucifer's daughter.." she giggled. "Ooh...grilfriend girlfriend's growing some big ass brass balls the size of Dallas...you GO girl.." Jamie teased. "Now all you gotta do is let 'em grow a little bigger and kick that moron to the curb with the trash. I dunno how he comes from the same genetic stock as Isaac or Taylor, hell even Zac for that matter. He may be a little hornball, but at least he knows how to treat a girl..jeez!" "Dammit Jamie.." Jade giggled. "Don't make me laugh when I am all in serious, 'you better listen to me..' mode. Want me to bring the beer?" Jade asked. "If you want.I gotta work babe. You can crash here if you get trashed. Bring your stuff.." Jamie said. "Kay. See you in ten, babe." Jade answered as she jumped up from her couch. "HEY!!" Jamie yelled before Jade could hang up. "WHAT?" Jade giggled. "I AM ON MY WAY.." "Dude, bring your guitar...I need you to help me out with this fucking song...kay?" Jamie told her. "Got it...gimme ten.." Jade grinned. "Later hoooomeslice..hurry up." Jamie teased. "See ya...HO!" Jade giggled and hung up before Jamie could retaliate. Jamie shook her head and grinned, hung up the phone and went back to her drums. 'Damn..' she thought, 'this place is getting to be like Grand Central or LAX lately..' Suddenly Jimmy was nagging in her head again, so she pounded louder on the drums, waiting for Jadeleigh or Taylor to show up. Taylor jumped in his car and took off, stopping off for a twelve pack of beer and a bottle of whiskey for Jamie, that way, when they got together again they wouldn't have to go out. He wanted to keep her to himself for a day or two, just to find out what was going on in her head. He smiled when he thought of the way she took care of her father, Jamie was definately rough around the edges, but that part of her excited him. Together with her soft side, he was toast. So far gone he didn't think he could get back. He hoped he had what she needed to get past whatever garbage her brother had filled her head with. He pulled into the driveway, and noticed that Jade's car was outside. He jumped out, grabbed the bag and strode toward the door. As he was about halfway up, a very LARGE man pulled up in a pickup similar to Jamie's dad's. "Hey!" The man called out and Taylor turned to look at him. "Hi...umm...I'm Taylor.." taylor tried to be polite and shifted the bag to stick out his hand. "Do I know you, boy?" the large man asked, looking him over. "You look familiar.." Taylor didn't know whether to chuckle, or be afraid. As big as this man was, he KNEW it was Jamie's uncle, and was unsure of how to proceed. "I don't think we've met before." Tay began timidly. "I'm Taylor Hanson. I was just stopping in to see Jame.." he smiled at the man, who was still staring at him, and nodded at Jamie's door. "Uh huh.." the man continued to stare, making Taylor uncomfortable. "Umm...you must be Jamie's uncle?" Tay asked, hoping Jamie would stop with the drums for a second and get her ass out here, so this wasn't so awkward. Uncle Mongo smelled like he was well on his way to hammered. "Yep." he nodded. "I swear I KNOW you..you sure we haven't met?" he asked Taylor, making Taylor grin. "Sorry sir. I don't think so. I haven't known Jamie all that long..." he said and then heard the door to the main house open. Both he and the LARGE man turned toward the sound. "Hey Mongo...leave that Hanson kid alone. I think Jameson's expecting him.:" he chuckled. "Good to see ya, boy. Jameson's a little busy at the moment. Got time to come in for a beer? If you're legal that is.." Jaime's father grinned. "Just barely..." Taylor smiled as Mongo put his arm around his shoulder. "Oh so it's like THAT is it...come on boy...we got some chattin' to do.." Mongo chuckled and propelled Taylor toward the door. No sooner did Tay get his bearings and resign himself to the fact that he was about to be grilled heavily by these two men, than Jamie and Jade appeared in the middle of the walkway. Jamie stood with her hip shifted out, and her arms folded across her chest. She tilted her head and wore a defiant grin. Taylor couldn't supress his smile when Jamie's uncle stopped dead in his tracks. His gaze met Jade's for just a second and she winked at Taylor. Taylor was once again confused, unsure of how to act. The sight of Jamie in those hip-hugging jeans and short tank top was making his blood race to more than just his heart. His gaze travelled over her, tracing her arm bands and the lines of her biceps, then her full breasts and her waist, down to her hips, invisibly. He blushed when he realized Jade just caught him practically drooling, but she only winked again. "Uncle Mongo!" Jamie tapped her booted foot impatiently. "Where d'you think you're going with my friend? Or am I all of a sudden not allowed to collaborate with another musician?" she stated, giving Taylor a sideways glance. |
