"Dude..did you NOT take a shower before you left the house this morning? You HAD to impose on Jamie...are you ever gonna let the girl SLEEP?" Zac tormented Taylor as soon as he walked in the door. "Bite me, Zac. She slept." he said and finished Jamie's coffee the way she liked it. "Jeez...you're whipped too.." Zac said eyeing the cups of coffee and then raising his head to see Jamie coming out of the bathroom, scantily clad, though she was wearing long pants. Zac thought this outfit was even hotter than the one she wore the last time they'd watched the girls play. She was wearing tight, black, boot cut hip huggers and a red halter top that was completely backless except for the string ties. Both he and Taylor watched in awe as she pulled on her ankle boot and black leather belt with a silver buckle.
"Hey Zac...get off his ass...he let me sleep too long." Jamie smiled in Zac's direction. "Have some coffee and help yourself to anything in the fridge dork boy...whaddaya have low blood sugar or something? Crabby?" she continued to tease, making Taylor grin behind his coffee cup.
"Nah.." Zac said refusing to take her bait, "I just hate to see my brother completely whipped by a wimpy FEMALE... I am the official founder of the 'he-man-woman-haters-club'." he joked, puffing out his chest an beating on it. "Getting the morning coffee is woman's work.." he continued. "Whatever you say captian caveman.." Jamie rolled her eyes and grinned at Taylor. "Number one..it's NOT morning.." she laughed, "Number two...my brother always used to say I AM NOT a normal female..if he pissed me off he would HIDE...and number three I AM NO WIMP." she stated and moved toward Zac, then tugged on his ponytail. "Now eat something so you can help me load the equipment, smart ass." she chuckled, and tugged his ponytail again.
Taylor continued to grin, as he sipped his coffee, liking the way Jaime put Zac in his place without getting him riled.
Ike and Jade watched the whole exchange, laughing to themselves, but relieved when the others started showing up. They did exchange a couple of knowing glances as they watched Jamie's reactions to Taylor.
He refilled her cup, managed to touch her unobtrusively a few times, and was attentive without making it hugely obvious that they were a SERIOUS item. Ike congratulated his brother silently, and tried to take a few pointers from him. Neither Jamie or Tay mentioned the fact that Ike and Jade had spent the entire day together, and neither Ike, nor Jade spoke of Taylor and Jamie as a set. There were a couple of times though, that jade nodded silently to Ike as if to say, "See? That's what I mean.."
All in all, Zac was happy when Patti finally showed up with the other girls, so he didn't have to watch Taylor make an ass of himself with Jamie. Jamie was glad there were other people around, so she didn't have to deal with the seriousness of her feelings for Taylor, Ike nd Jade were grateful for the distraction from each other, and Taylor was a mixture of sad, frustrated and happy all at once.
They all began to load up, the noise level reduced to a dull roar as the concentration of lifting heavy equipment, left them to deal with their own thoughts between jokes and smart remarks made in fun. None could get to the bar and get the music started fast enough.

"SHIT!!!" Jamie exclaimed and shoved a pile of books out of her way, "Where in THE FUCK did I put it?" she griped, digging through her open piles of paper, books and notebooks.
"Jameson..what the hell are you looking for?" Tami asked, frustrated with the impending tantrum Jamie was about to pitch.
"UGH!" jamie yelled and shoved more papers out of her way. "THE NOTEBOOK...with the playlist for when we play with miss fucking priss.." Jamie exclaimed, then was instantly sorry. "Sorry Jadeleigh," she smiled apologetically at her friend, "I'm just frustrated. I didn't mean it.." she looked quickly away, knowing she DID mean it. "Yeah you did.." Jade said and squeezed Jamie's shoulder, "but it's okay. What color was the notebook Jameson?" Jade asked. "IT was that BIG ASS green one..did YOU see what I did with it?" she asked and ran a hand through her hair, making it slip back into place like silk. Taylor held his breath as he watched her and HOPED that someone found the damn notebook. He wasn't sure he was ready to see her temper unleashed full force. "Oh shit..." Jade groaned and raked her hand through her curls, in much the same manner as Jamie. "Oh GOD Jadeleigh, what? I don't like the  sound of that.." Jamie waited. "It's in Josh's car.." she
said quietly. I was going to bring it here and then... I don't remember what happened and I haven't been with him since..but I KNOW that's where it is...I'm sorry Jamie." Jade said and covered her face in her hands." Jamie sighed loudly. Anyone else would have been toast, and Jamie would have put the stomp down and insisted whoever left it behind better get it and NOW, but not Jadeleigh, especially now. jamie didn't want her to see Josh today either. She wanted her to stay right in Isaac Hanson's presence, and FEEL the difference between he and JOSH sorely. "Now what, Tami? I am sleep deprived I need something to keep me focused.." Jamie said.
"Hey Jamie.." Ike chimed in, "Don't worry about it. My mom will be nagging one of us to check on Josh anyhow. I'll do it. I'll make sure he's breathing, call my mom and tell her so, then grab your 'BIG ASS' green notebook and meet you guys at the bar." Ike smiled brightly and folded his arms over his chest. "Okay Knight in White satin..job's yours. Thank you!" Jamie said and jumped over the piano bench, scattering the paper's she already shoved out of order anyway.
"Let's ROCK people.." she grinned, grabbed her wallet and keys and strode confidently out the door, the rest following suit without question, including Taylor, who only stopped to make sure the door was locked. He looked toward the house as he strode down the walk to Jamie's van, and caught a glimpse of Jamie's father, and Uncle looking out the window at him. He gave them a respectful nod, which they returned, then moved away from the window.

"Well, well, well...wouldja lookie at that again.." Mongo told his brother-in-law and swallowed a long swig of beer. "Uh-huh.." Jamie's father sighed heavily. "She let HIM lock the place..didn't even look back..." her uncle commented. "Nope." he father commented and took a long drink of his beer. "More serious that I thought.." Mongo said as both he and his sister's husband stared out the window, watching that tall Hanson kid..TAYLOR...they admonished themselves silently, take care of Jamie. "Yup." Mr. Vaughn, replied, catching Taylor's eye. Nodded back at the boy, when he acknowledeged their presence. "Real serious.." Mongo said, returning Taylor's polite nod, then tipping his beer bottle at him. "Better go listen tonight, huh bro?" Mongo stated.
"Yup. We better." Mr. Vaughn answered, finished the last swallow of his beer and joined his brother-in-law in the kitchen. Each drank another beer, pulled on their denim jackets and left the house.
