"Jaime...wake up...HO!" Jade giggled as she shook her friend's shoulder. Jaime stretched lazily and looked at Jade, her eyes slowly unglazing. "Why the hell did I give you a key again?" she chuckled, rubbed her eyes and sat up, scooting over and folding her legs underneath her. Jade flopped down next to her, folded her legs similarly and grined at Jaime. "Okay. Details. NOW." Jade grinned. "No details really, you goof. You saw for yourself. We all slept in our clothes."Jaime answered shaking her head. "Jaime, what?" Jade asked. "I need to see a doctor..get my hormones checked...SOMETHING." Jaime said, disgustedly. "WHY?" Jade urged, wanting to know more before she offered any suggestions or insight. Jaime sighed loudly. "Because...oh god.." she rolled her eyes. "What happened, Jame?" Jade urged more gently, realizing her friend was in an unusual state. "NOTHING." she said forcefully. "I can't believe I," she pointed to her chest, "ME of all people...he kissed me...and I pushed him away...granted Zac was asleep in the recliner at the time but...you know..he KISSED me...and I am such jello when he's in the room I wanna puke...he's coming over tomorrow first thing...soon as I wake up and...ohmygodwhatthehelliswrongwithme?" Jaime looked at Jade, confused, while Jade was doubled over in a fit of giggles. "WHAT?!?" Jaime demanded, trying hard not to laugh. "YOU.." Jade wiped her eyes and tried to control herself. "What about me?" Jaime asked again. "Jame...DUDE...you have it bad...you LIKE him..and not just 'cause he's HOT either. You know...you LIKE HIM, like him." Jade collapsed into another fit of giggles, as Jaime stared at her in shock. "OH STOP!!" she grinned and bopped Jade with the pillow she was holding in her lap. "So what if I do?" she asked defiantly. "Yeah.." Jade smacked Jaime back with the pillow laying next to her. "So what if you do? I think he's cool. Go for it. 'Cept you have another problem if you do.." Jade was suddenly serious. "What?" Jaime prompted. "ZAC." Jade said, "He likes you too...you lucky bitch...they were actually about to scrap over you."
"Shit." Jaime muttered, flopped backward on the futon and covered her face with the pillow. "Don't tell me that Jadeleigh...UUUUHHHHAAAHHH!!" she hollered into the pillow. "Aww. He'll get over it." Jade giggled. Jaime sat staright up suddenly. "And what about YOU? Hmmm?" Jaime asked. Jade looked surprised. "What about me?" she asked. Jaime cleared her throat. "I BELIEVE I saw you spending more time listening to and batting your little eyelashes atnone other than ISAAC HANSON." she grinned. "Dumbass. But good choice." she clocked Jade with the pillow again. "I knew you'd say that. BUT did you SEE him?" Jade giggled. "Nope. Too busy checking out tay's leather pants baby.." Jaime giggled. "And what about Joshy-boy? He won't be too happy knowing you wanna play naked twister with his cousin and best friend." Jaime teased, thinking it would serve Josh's stupid ass right. "Jaime you know how I feel about that.." Jade blushed. "I do know. That's why watchin'
you check out Ike Hanson's backside as he walked away cracked me right up. So keep savin' it. I know you like Josh..and that's cool with me...but I don't think he'd make a good husband for you, Jadeleigh. Unless you want me to train him for you." Jaime teased to keep from hurting her friend. "Don't worry Jaime. We haven't gotten that far yet. Even if HE wants to." Jade rolled her eyes. "I'm just not ready yet." she sighed. "Then you're not ready." Jaime stated matter-of-factly. "He'll have to get over it. And if he loves you, he'll wait." she said, then as an afterthought added, "Isaac would." Jaime grinned at Jade's shocked expression and jumped up from the futon, before Jade could whack her with the pillow.

Jaime paced her apartment, her nerves wound up tighter than a roll of kite string. She silently berated herself for getting so worked up over a GUY, and at the same time hoped like hell he wasn't just like every other guy she'd ever dated. "Get a grip Jame.." she muttered to herself as she folded her pillows and blanket and put them in the top of the closet. She poured herself another cup of coffee, then sat down at her keyboard and switched it on. 'At least it'll be hours after he didn't show..' she told herself and began to play.

Taylor strode up the walk between Jaime's apartment and her father's house, wondering if she was going to bother to introduce him, or if her father even kept tabs on who came and went from jaime's place. Not that Jaime was unable to take care of herself. He smiled as he raised his fist to knock on the door, she definately would not hear him. She was playing, the piano volume was up loud, and he could hear her singing.

"You know I'm a dreamer, but my heart's of gold
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low.."

Taylor listened carefully as he turned the doorknob and slipped inside. One look at her face told him she would not know he was there until she was finished. Her voice was unique and he wondered that she bothered to let Angel sing lead, when she and Tami harmonized so well together and Jaime obviously had a stronger voice than Angel. He moved slowly closer to her as she played and sang, not wanting to startle her. Her long dark hair was tucked behind her ears and her eyes were closed, her pretty face screwed up in a painfully passionate expression. He wondered briefly if that was the expression that would cross her face in sexual pleasure, then groaned inwardly as his zipper became suddenly strained, while Jaime continued to sing.

"You know I've seen too many romantic dreams
up in lights, falling off the silver screen.
my heart's like an open book, for the whole world to read.
sometimes nothing keeps me together at the seams.
i'm on my way, i'm on my way..
home sweet home..
tonight tonight i'm on my way
i'm on my way..
home sweet home...
i'm on my way
just set me free
home sweet home...

Taylor faced her and smiled when she finished the last note on the piano and her eyes slowly opened. She looked surprised for a moment and then grinned back at him. "Hi.." she said softly. "Hi. I didn't think you'd hear me knocking so I let myself in. Do you mind?" he asked, moving next to her. She shook her head no and placed her hands over the keys, then changed her mind and reached to turn the power off. "Don't.." Taylor covered her hand with his. "One more, please?" he asked. "Something of yours." She trembled as his blue eyes pierced her gaze, and she nodded then thought for a minute. She placed her fingers over the keys and began to play. Taylor sat, mesmerized and impressed, as she opened her mouth and sang. He didn't catch all the lyrics, but the song was good, and heart-wrenching. They both sat silent for a few moments, Jaime to collect her thoughts and pull herself together, and Taylor to assimilate the fact that she'd just shared something deeply personal with him, obviously not realizing it until after the fact. Taylor laced his fingers through hers and gave them a squeeze. "Awesome Jame. Who did you write it for?" he asked, quitely. "If you don't mind telling me, I mean.." he added quickly. She shook her head again. "Jade's the only other person I've played it for. It was for my brother." she said and let out a deep breath. "You have a brother?" he asked, switching the power to the keyboard off and pulling her to standing. "Had. He was killed in an accident a long time ago, he was 10 years older than me." she told him.
