As well as the normal on going craft manufacturing, we try to encourage other social and recreational activities. We make full use of our kitchen, with help and guidance in life, social skills, budgeting, cooking, and preparing meals.

The people attending also manage and handle the petty cash for their own canteen facility. The profit from this, after a group decision, is usually spent on outside activities such as a Christmas Dinner Dance, Barbecue, boat trip or an outing to "Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park".

A Christmas Raffle is held every year, and we get enthusiastic support from many businesses in the town. The proceeds from this also go towards the dinner dance. The showroom and shop are manned by a rota of some of our team serving customers and taking orders.

A weekly meeting is held between staff and employees to discuss grievances, suggestions of new lines, development of the workshop and future projects. There is also a monthly report of shop takings.

An ongoing assessment is carried out, shared action plans are set up, employee concerned, invites, usually their social worker, parents, carers or "homemaker" to discuss with their keyworker their ongoing needs and future plans.
