In addition to the training of craft skills we offer in house training of cooking, numeracy, life and social skills, we work closely with social services "Homemakers" providing skills in road sense, using public transport, self advocacy leading to ultimate independence.

We have built up a good support from outside agencies and local businesses such as: Mencap "Pathway Scheme", Eastern Employment Service, Suffolk County Council, and the JobCentre disablement resettlement officer.

Beccles traders have been very supportive offering work experience, this has been a great success with some of our people working outside the workshop in retail, at "Cloves" clothes shop, and one of our ladies after a trial period has been taken on part time at "Safeways" supermarket.

Some of our employees are gaining work experience, gardening and decorating for the elderly or disabled, and working closely with caretakers at a Lowestoft school.

We also encourage our people to attend further education classes in adult literacy, computing and any other courses that are suitable.

We can accommodate placements of students from Lowestoft College care courses and nursing students.
