Angels 5 Haven't Got a Clue 1

Angels have made it to the Cup Semi-Finals for the first time in club history.  A favourable draw saw them pitched against Haven't Got a Clue and it didn't take long for the blacks to show their superiority, with Tonkin heading home a precision corner from Hutchison.  Matt Walker made it 2, again with Hutchison providing, and Neil Wilkie added two more to take the score to 4-0 at half time, and to leave him just two goals short of 50 in his career for the Angels.  Three subs were made at half time, and Angels sat back on the lead.  Despite conceding a penalty, Angels eased their way to a 5-1 victory, the last goal courtesy of Nick Thomas.

A semi-final against Premier League opposition, Chattan Daemons, beckons.

Angels 5 Blue Steel 4

After a poor first half performance, Angels went in at half-time 3-1 down.  However, the team picked themselves up and got back in the game, scoring three to take the lead in the game.  Wilkie put away a thunderbolt to ensure Angels would be in the Quarter Finals, and not even late penalty could dent the Angels celebrations.

The team have now won their last 11 games, and will face Haven't Got a Clue in the next round of the cup, a team they have already beaten this season.

ANGELS CROWNED CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!

Angels With Dirty Faces were crowned champions today after DRP lost out narrowly to Pro Evil, 2-1.  The thrilling end of the season saw the Angels jumping up and down in the snow after the DRP game, with (almost) all squad members heading out to Dundee to celebrate.

The triumph marks the greatest day in the club's history so far, and Angels will be due to pick up their first piece of silverware on Cup final day.  Let's hope they pick up two pieces!

Angels 10 Alan Hansen 0

On the final day of the season, Angels finally took top spot after slaughtering Alan Hansen with a goal tally in double figures.  Laurence Tonkin took four goals, every one a tap in, to put Angels on +50 goal difference for the season.  Now we must await the DRP game against Pro Evil at 5pm which will decide who wins the league.

Angels 6 Bute Medics 0

Angels were rewarded with a tie against Blue Steel in the second round of the cup after a 6-0 drubbing of Bute Medics.  Matt Walker opened the scoring, Neil Wilkie grabbed two for himself, Pete Hutchison added to his total for the season, Jack Rodgers scored again, and Laurence Tonkin scored a contender for goal of the season.

Cup draw good for Angels

Angels drew Bute Medics in the first round of the Sunday cup this week.  The winners of the tie, to be played on Sunday 19th March, will face Blue Steel, from Division 1, in the second round.  Angels have already defeated Bute Medics 5-2 this season.

Weather hits fixtures

Recent Scottish weather has hit Angels fixtures badly.  The scheduled final league game will now take place on Wednesday 22nd March.

Angels destroy Titus Shambles

Angels With Dirty Faces secured promotion on Sunday with an 8-1 mauling of Titus Shambles.  Both Tom McKirdy and Luke Buffoni scored their first goals for the club in the victory.  Angels will be without many famous faces next season as they bid to make themselves comfortable in Division 1, but all involved were happy with the result.

Three points required for promotion

A win for the Angels on Sunday versus bottom club Titus Shambles would almost certainly guarantee promotion for the famous blacks.  A win would see them at least three points clear of Sophisticated Sandwich with a far superior goal difference.

Angels hump Your Face

Angels With Dirty Faces battered Your Face last Sunday despite making heavy weather of the first half.  Tonkin opened the scoring with pathetic left foot shot after 10 minutes, but Angels struggled to take the game by the scruff of the neck, and Your Face were really battling to stay in the game, even creating a few chances for themselves.  1-0 at half-time.  Angels quickly put the game to bed after a brisk team talk from Captain Rodgers, with goals from Thomas and a second from Tonking.  Rodgers scored ANOTHER contender for goal of the season (and his 11th so far), whilst Hutchison put the game to bed after rounding the keeper for his fourth goal this year.
