Rules (the way we do things!)

Section 1 (S-1), Personnel.

100
CODE OF CONDUCT:

100.1
NO CHEATING!!!!!!!!!  EVER!

100.1(a)
NO GLIITCHING!!!!!!!!  EVER!

Here is BC's glitch site that clearly defines what Glitching is ~~~ Under no circumstances are you to take what is shown here and use it to better your score.  This will be an immediate dissmissal if caught.

100.2    You will follow orders of people higher in rank. However we do not order each other around. It has to be FUN to play.  If you want to order people around then get a career and aggravate them.

100.3    If you have a problem with someone on the team, inform his or her assault team leader and try to work it out that way.

100.4    We treat each other with respect and courtesy.  When entering or leaving games members should say hello or goodbye to the other players.  We will also treat any player outside of the team with respect.  Excessive cussing is not acceptable.

            (a)  Treating others with respect means no trash talking or personal attacks.  Trash talking and disrespect to anyone is considered a major infraction of or rules and what we stand for.  This does not mean we can’t kid around with each other and have a good time, however there is a difference that and talking trash.  Intelligent, mature people know and recognize the difference.

            (b)  Members of the command staff are expected to strictly enforce this rule first with a friendly reminder, which should result in an immediate apology from the offender.  If this does not occur, or a member shows a pattern of disrespect, see the section on discipline.

100.5    No passwords will be given to unknown players.  Only direct friends of the team and allies can have the password.

100.6    Respond to e-mails when teammates ask you a question.

100.7    Get along with each other and don't get aggravated; after all it is just a game.

100.8    If you will not be playing for a long time, please inform your team.

100.9    There is no obligation to show up all the time. You play when you feel like it.  However members that never come to our games may think again why they would join.  If you join us it is with the intention that you play regularly with us.  If nobody sees you online for about a month without a notice why you wont be on for a long time, then you will be contacted by headquarters to give you a chance to clear things up.  If no answer follows, then it may be in the best interest of yourself and the team to step out of the team.

100.10  We are a team!!! Your personal game score is not the most important.  We play as a team, not as individuals.

101
RECRUITNG:

101.1    WEF Members will not directly recruit new players, however they are encouraged to promote the team in a positive manner to potential recruits and refer them to our web site and to member of the command staff.

101.2    Upon recommendation, prospective new members will be added to our mail list and evaluated by members of the command staff on at least 3 occasions to determine if they will be accepted as probationary members.

101.3    During this initial observation, the prospective member will receive the appropriate welcome letters from their primary command staff recruiter, informed of our rules and regulations, and directed to review our website.  During this period they will not wear rank nor identify themselves with the team tag.

101.4    Any infraction of any rule during this evaluation period will cause the prospective member to be removed from consideration.

102
ENLISTMENT:

102.1    New team members will be accepted onto the team in a probationary status.  Probation will last either 1 month or 6 different day on-line appearances, whichever is longer.

102.2    Probationary members will be granted the rank of PVT and will wear the WEF team tag.  Probationary members are not eligible for promotion until completion of the probationary period.

102.3    A probationary member may be arbitrarily dismissed from the team during the probationary period by a unanimous vote of the Commander and Squad Leader.

102.4    Upon joining the team you will make a picture of your DF2character in your best pose and send it to the team webmaster, commander, or personnel officer. Read on our website how to take the picture.  The probationary member will also send a list of their favorite game types, weapons, and a favorite quote for posting on the web site.

102.5    Every team member must have a valid e-mail address and keep the command staff notified of any changes to it.

103
ASSIGNMENT:

103.1    New recruits will generally be assigned to the Assault Team that is the shortest on personnel.  Consideration will be given to those recruited and requested by Assault Team Leaders.

104
UNIFORM:

104.1    As we are Cyber-soldiers, we obviously don’t have uniforms.  Our uniform is our rank and team tag.  Team members will wear their rank before their name and the team tag WEF following their team name.

104.2    Only squad leaders and Command Staff are authorized to be out of uniform and wear an undercover name in a WEF server with the intention of checking on the men and the game. All other members will always use their rank, team name and team tag when playing in WEF servers.

105
PROMOTION:

105.1    Every member starts as a PVT and moves up depending on how much we see you in our games and your attitude. Don't be jealous because others have higher ranks, everybody has a role to play and we play as a team.  Having a higher rank is not always fun cause it means administrative duties like keeping a website maintained, informing members on things, recruiting, etc.

105.2    As you go up in rank your responsibility in the team grows.  You will lead by example.  Do not give stupid orders and do not take advantage of your rank.  Earn respect!!!

105.3    All promotions and other orders will be cut and tracked on an orders log by the WEF personnel officer and will be published via e-mail to the entire team.

106
AWARDS:

106.1
Valor Ribbon:  Awarded to WEF members whose performance during a scheduled match is pivotal to the success of WEF in that match.  The Valor Medal is the highest award given for skill at DF2 and can only be awarded to members in good standing.   The recipient must not only perform in an extraordinary manner but must do so while upholding the values and honor of WEF.  Extreme care should be taken in recommending a member for this award so as not to dilute its importance.  To receive this award, the WEF member must be nominated by the WEF member in charge of the particular match and be approved by ¾ of the command staff.

106.2
Meritorious Service Ribbon:  Awarded to WEF members who have demonstrated their dedication to WEF through exemplary service to the team and can only be awarded to members in good standing.  This can be for either a specific act or accomplishment or for service over a period of time.  Any WEF member can nominate a fellow member for this award.  The WEF commander is the final approval authority for this award.

106.3
Combat Achievement Ribbon:  Awarded to the most valuable WEF player during a scheduled match with another DF2 squad and can only be awarded to members in good standing.  The member in charge of the match, if a member of the command staff, has the authority to grant this award.  If no member of the command staff is present at the match, the member in charge will forward the match results to the commander with a recommendation for who should receive the award if anyone warrants it.

106.4
Commendation Ribbon: Awarded to WEF members who have either provided a valuable service to the team or who have performed in an outstanding manner during a non-scheduled match.  As always, this can be awarded only to members in good standing.  Any member can nominate a fellow member to the WEF commander for this award.  The WEF commander is the final approval authority for this award.

106.5
Battle Ribbon: Awarded to all WEF members in good standing who participate in a scheduled match.  The member must uphold the honor of WEF to be eligible for this award.  The member in charge of the match, if a member of the command staff, has the authority to grant this award.  If no member of the command staff is present at the match, the member in charge will forward the match results to the commander with a recommendation for who should receive the award if anyone warrants it.

106.6
Multiple Awards: Multiple awards of a ribbon are denoted by stars on the ribbon.  The recipient of second, third, and fourth awards of a particular ribbon will receive a bronze star for each subsequent award.  The fifth award will be a silver star replacing the previous 4 bronze stars, and the twenty-fifth will be a gold star replacing 4 silver and 4 bronze stars.

107
DISCIPLINE:

107.1    In the best interest of the team it is important to point out those who do not comply with the way this teams work.  The Assault Team Leader and Commander will be informed of misconduct. On the moment the incident occurs a higher-ranking member will try to clear things up.  If the incident occurs within the team it will be done privately (team talk), if it concerns other players it will be done public (public talk).  If necessary the member who caused the incident will apologize and the officer will take responsibility and apologize in the name of the entire team.

107.2    Our rules are easy to follow and adherence to them is expected.  Members who break rules will be subject to disciplinary measures.

107.3    First and second rule violations may result in written reprimand or rank reduction.  Certain grievous offenses may be grounds for dismissal after only 1 offense.  This requires a two-thirds majority vote of the command staff.

107.4    A third offense will result in a team vote as to whether the member will be dismissed from the team. This requires only a simple majority following the same guidelines as all team votes.

108
Ending Term of Service:

108.1    AWOL:  The command staff will attempt to contact members who have not been heard from for a long period of time.  If no response is heard from the absent member within a reasonable amount of time, they will be discharged as AWOL and carried on the team records as such.

108.2    Misconduct:  Any member discharged for disciplinary reason will be given a dishonorable discharge and carried on the team records as such.

108.3    Probationary members:  Members who do not make probation will be carried on the team records as unsuitable for WEF service.

108.4    Honorable:  Any member in good standing who requests to leave the team for any reason will be granted an honorable discharge and carried on the team records as such.

Section 2 (S-2), Intelligence:

200.1    Visit our allies and potential allies regularly.

200.2    Play in other squad servers and gather information about them.  Are they our type of players, would they be interested in a match, do they treat other people with respect, do they have cool maps, etc.  Report this information to the WEF Commander.

Section 3 (S-3), Operations.

300
GENERAL GAMEPLAY AND HOSTING:

300.1    We only host 1 *WEF* game at a time.  No need hosting 2 different games, unless the first one is full.

300.2    Before hosting you will e-mail your teammates you are hosting a game.

300.3    It is encouraged to e-mail each other when you're on playing and not hosting so that other teammates can find you and play with you.

300.4    We respect the host and his vision on the game.  If host says for example no SAW, then we do not use a SAW.

300.5    Any team member is encouraged to host games and to look or create new interesting maps to host.  The game name can be anything but has to be respectful.  The team tag always has to be shown in the game name.

300.6    Cheaters will be banned from the server after guilt has been proven.  Banning will not be allowed in case the game is full and to let other players in. First comes, first serves. Do not openly accuse somebody of cheating without prove, try asking first.  If players for example use automatic weapons in a sniper game give them a chance to get another weapon, if they do not comply with this they will be punted/banned.

300.7    We do not kill teammates when we are on same side on purpose.  We do not kill anyone who is fighting on your side.  Of course accidents do happen unfortunately. Exception allowed on this rule in a screwed up map when we're not actually playing but just screwing around.

301
MATCHES:

301.1    Matches are set up using the web site match document.  The Commander, XO, or Operations Officer must approve all matches.

301.2    At least 1 member of the command staff should be present at all   matches.  The Commander will designate which member will be in charge of the team during the match.  This will be enforced regardless of rank.

301.3  During match play, only one select council member per match will be allowed to type over the regular text chat. All other teammates are to type only on the team talk unless using the terms of "gg" and "gl" during the break between maps. Battlecom chatter will be kept to a minimal and will be used for tactical purposes only. There will be no cries of lag or bs on any form of chat or Battlecom that will be tolerated during the match. This form of chatter only takes away from the game and gets your teammates down. If felt something needs to be said, it will be addressed at the end of the match, otherwise, do no use chat to vent your frustrations, use your gun.

Section 4 (S-4), Logistics.

400.1    Every team member has to download the exp2b pack. You will need it to enter some missions.  No exception on this rule, anyone can do it.

400.2    We prefer that each player downloads Roger Wilco for voice communication.  It is not obligated but we prefer you do so.  Do not worry if your soundcard does not support it.  This is not a rule, just an option.
