We (Jimmy and I) spent the whole day cleaning out the location.  Loading furniture to give to the thrift stores - 3 trips is what it took.  Some cleaning, dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming.  Moved other furniture out the way, files to the side and we had a great looking location.  We were messy and tired, but we had a place to film on Sunday.

Normal call time of 11am.  The scene today is a kill scene of a couple in bed in the middle of intercourse. What's funny is that the male actor was more than happy to be in bed with the female actor (she is cute) and when we finished he said that he felt that we needed to do that again (jokingly, of course).  Their death scene was bloody and let me put it this way... a pain in the ass.  :-0  Oh but wait!  We were so disorganized today.  Batteries were not fully charged and the charger we forgot at the office.  We had one fo the PA's run back to pick it up.  We were scheduled to do other pick up shots but we forgot the lead actor's attire for the scene so we had to reschedule that time.  Therefore, we finished filming their scenes about 3pm.  From there we had to go to one more location, the lifesaver's location (Teddi).  We had her scenes to film in her office.  That only lasted about 1 1/2 hours.  It was quick.  It's kinda nice to get home early on a weekend.  I'll tell you we won't be unprepared again no matter how busy we get.

Everything turned out perfect.  The actors all found the location easily and they were all worked very professionaly.  We gave the extras their characters and we didn't even have to give them any type of specific direction on how to act, they just did it.  Their reaction shots were perfect.  I just can't say it enough that we are blessed with the people that we have.  Our principal actors today were just as great!  Very believable... it was so moving!  Only problem we had were some outside noises, but that's about it.  Call time was 11:30 and we wrapped most of everyone by 3.  Not too bad.  We did take 2 of the principal actors to a different location near the water.  It was beautiful but it drove us nuts as we had way too many external noises to deal with - airplanes, cars, people walking by, children screaming, trucks passing by, birds - yay!  no cicadas!.  It was tough.  We took more takes on that short scene than we did for today's long scenes.  It was crazy but fun.  We wrapped everyone by 4:30pm.  From there Jimmy and I had to rush back home to change to attend the BaltiCon Film Festival where 2 of our films were screening.  They needed us there at 6:30 to introduce each film.  We didn't get back home until after 11pm.  What a long day!

A day of rest.  Weather is gloomy.  Updating this website and the photo album and calling on the actors to see if they are available for this Sunday to film.  Nothing is set for Saturday as of yet.

June 1
Oh no!  We just received some bad news!  The actress we had casted for the part of Helen has had some family issues come up and has backed out of the role and we are all set to film this Saturday.  Need to hustle and bustle to find a replacement.  We had a few others in mind for the role.  We haven't heard from one and the other is thinking about it.

June 2

OK.  We are cutting it really close here.  The actress is STILL deciding whether she wants the part or not.  The other one still has not responded.  Yikes!!!

June 3

Well, everything is ok now.  We finally heard from the other actress and she is willing and able to work either Saturday or Sunday.  We are all set to go.

June 5

Woke up early this morning, since we had a really early call time.  But guess what we found.... lots of rain!  We have outside shots, plus this is CA scenes. It can't be raining.  We had no choice but to cancel filming.  Ouch!!

June 6

Luckily today, filming will be indoors.  We filmed the welcome home party scenes today.  It was really fun and we killed off 4 characters today.  Great stuff!!!  Only problem is that filming took longer than expected and we had to cancel the second location.  We'll just have to pick those scenes up another time.  It probably took longer because we had 0 crew today.  Our normal crew got sick and the others had prior commitments.  So it slowed us down, but didn't stop us.  We still had a great time filming even though it ran really late... almost until midnight..  Our effects guy is the best!

June 12
Filmed the rest of the CA scenes today.  Weather cooperated very nicely.  We began filming at 11 and ended by 5... so that was nice.  Thanks to Steve Kovalic for allowing us to use all of his house for the scenes.  Thanks to Sandy O'Brien for being so great with helping us out as crew since the others never showed today.  We filmed the second to the last scenes of the movie today.  We are getting so close!!!!

June 13
Filmed the pick-up shots from last Sunday's filming - the one we didn't finish.  It was a blast!  Our actors were fantastic!  Roscoe (Mario) was incredible!  Very physical and believable.  It was great!  Thanks to Jay Seay for the use of his home!  Don Cook - excellent sleezy guy!

We were supposed to have class this evening, but 7 out of the 8 people cancelled on us.  And here's the funny thing... the 1 that did show up for class is casted in our movie.  So guess what we did?  We filmed her scenes!!  Poor Sheri didn't even know what hit her.  She was expecting just a regular class and instead it was a full-blown, thrown right in there filming situation.  It was excellent!  Teddi Florence was there to help coach her with her scenes, we gave her a few tips, and filmed.  Like I said... it was beautiful!!!  We did it in about 2 hours.  What a class, huh?

June 19
OK.  We were scared today would be raining again...as it called for it.  But we really lucked out.  Today we filmed the scenes from June 5.  We did all our indoor scenes and then went outside.  Just as we finished our outside shots, it started to drizzle.  Talk about perfect timing!  We had a blast filming the scenes with our actors today.  Rod (Charlie Davidson) played an exceptional scum type guy!  Beef (Maurice Robertson) was great as the bodyguard.  And can't forget our Helen (Melissa Powell)... so innocent, yet so physical!!  The scenes they filmed were a bit physical... lots of running.  Today they really got their work out!  Forget the gym... with JPNT, you'll get exercise as well as film exposure.  He, he.  Thanks Charlie for the use of your office!

No filming today!  Happy Father's Day to all the deserving father's out there.  You know who all of you are.  Just remember... anyone can be a father.. .but it takes an extra special man to be a "Dad".
