Thinking Day 1998

For Thinking Day 1998, Senior Troop #612 invited other Laker Service Unit Troops to research a country and create a presentation on February 21, 1998 at St. Stanisalus Church to educate the community and other Girl Scouts. The organizers requested that troops include a game or dance native to that country, any Girl Scouting information available, and samples of a native dish! The countries represented were Switzerland, Greece, Germany, and Korea. Troop #612 researched the history of Lorain, the Lorain Lighthouse, and Lorain natives author Toni Morrison and poet Helen Stiener Rice.

Junior Troop 613 presented Switzerland!

Brownie Troop 772 displayed Germany!

Each girl learned new games...

...and dances!

Over 100 girls from 7 troops attended the event bringing their families along. Thank you, troops, for making Thinking Day a success!
