Conclusion and Evaluation

Forests for life

Rainforests provide an unique ecosystem for the plants, trees, animals, birds, reptiles, insects and native peoples.  In the past, man has found food, shelter and medicine within the rainforest, without damage to the ecosystem.

Today man is threatening the rainforest ecosystem and it is in great danger of being destroyed.  This photo shows us what is happening in the rainforests.  Logging, mining, cattle grazing, farming and building roads are threatening life in the rainforests.

Task 5:

How is your chosen rainforest being destroyed?

Why should your chosen rainforest be protected?

Suggest ways in which this rainforest can be protected?
