| ABOUT OUR CLUB The Westminster MOMS Club is a local chapter of the International MOMS Club. Our goals, values, and mission align directly with our parent organization, which means we are 100% focused on providing moms like you with an outlet for fun and learning. Our activities define who we are and what we do, and they are determined entirely by member input. If you'd like to know more about joining our group, check out our membership page! |

| PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
As I am sure you know motherhood can be an extremely rewarding experience but it can also be an extremely challenging one. Being part of MOMs club gives you the opportunity to share with other moms the joys, challenges, experiences and struggles that come along as a mother. No one understands the dilemmas a mother faces more than another mother. I joined MOMS club almost four years ago, and it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. I have made some fantastic friends and met some truly inspirational Mothers in those short years. Beside great friendship there are many things you can get from being a member, great activities to take part in, helping others through our service projects, listening to guest speakers at our members meetings and getting out and about and meeting others. I hope you will be able to find what you need on our website and get your questions about our club answered. If you have any further questions please let me know. | SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES Park Days: A few times every month, we meet at an area park for a morning or afternoon of fun in the sun. During colder weather, we meet at indoor free or inexpensive play areas. Click here to view Westminster parks locations. Click here for Broomfield parks locations. Field Trips: Several field trips are planned each month. We are always interested in new suggestions. Recent activities include the Denver zoo, Tiny town, a Tour of Hammond Candy, and Jefferson County Airport. Activity Groups: Members with similar interests are encouraged to form activity groups together. Currently, we have: ** Recipe Club - Meets once a month for recipe club and the host chooses the theme. Recent themes include Chocolate, Potatoes, Salads, Muffins and soups. ** Book Club - usually meets once a month and the host picks the book. Recent selections have been The Reading Group, The Namesake, and The Kite Runner ** Hiking/walking group - We try to have at least two walks a month on our calendar - locations include many of the great trails around Westminster. ** Natural Living Club - meets once a month to discuss ways to "live green". Topics cover cleaning products, beauty products, etc. Secret Sisters: This is a fun way to feel special every month, and make someone else feel loved too! We spend about $5 - $10 each month, but homemade items are welcome and often the most wonderful ones! At the end of six months, we have a "Reveal Party" to meet our Secret Sister. Current members should email our Secret Sisters coordinator to find out more. Java Mama’s: Our newest venture, a fixed time and place every two weeks to gather with some of the group and have a coffee or juice and catch up. With the added bonus of a magazine swap once a month. Our current location is Jumpin’ Juice and Java on the Westminster promenade. MOMS Night out (MNO): Is our only event that takes place at night and gives our moms the opportunity to get out with the girls and leave the kids at home. Recent MNO have included Cinema Night, Cinzetti's, Dave and Busters, a scrap booking night, and Movie on the Rocks. Member Meetings: We have one members' meeting per month where we conduct all our "business" and determine upcoming activities. They are held the 4th Friday of the month. Playgroups: Members typically join weekly playgroups with other moms of similar-aged children. Playgroups tend to meet at each other's homes, but also can arrange field trips and other activities for themselves. Helping Hands: After you have a baby, or after you have a surgery, you may need some extra help. At your request, our helping hands coordinator will arrange to have assistance given to you so you can spend more time healing or bonding with the little one. Current members should email our Helping Hands coordinator to arrange meal delivery. Service Projects: We choose service projects each year that benefit families and children in our community. It's a great way to stay involved in our neighborhoods! We've supported local food banks, made meals quarterly for Ronald McDonald House, and had school supply and book drives. Frozen dinner Swap: A great way to plan ahead with your meals. Each person brings enough of their meal to give to the other participants. Our coordinator makes sure there is a wide variety and not just 10 lasagnas! |
