Homework Assignments
                          Language Arts
Students are  required to write in complete sentences on all assignments.  The students will be working on a spelling inventory. We will also be working on a Reading Response Journal.  Spelling will start this week.  Tests are on Friday.

                           Reading
Students should be reading about 20 minutes a day apart from the chapterbooks we do in class. Practice will increase fluency which will affect comprehension.  This week we will begin reading the chapterbook Be a Perfect Person.
                             Science
We will begin the year working on the unit Inquiry and Investigation which will give them practice using their senses to complete experiments.  The kids have received a review sheet that will help them study for quizzes.  The quiz is scheduled for Thursday.
                                 Math
Practice. practice, practice when it comes to knowing your math facts. This is critical for success in fourth grade. Showing your work is a must!!  We will be working on parallelograms, polygons, and triangles.  They will need to know how they are similar and different.
